Be wary of website, PETRONAS warns job-seekers


Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has warned job-seekers to be wary of a website, www.petronasoil.net, which imitates the official Petronas website.

In a statement here today, Petronas said investigations had revealed that the owners of the website had registered the domain name using fake identification and were now the perpetrators of the recruitment scheme.

"The syndicate's modus operandi is to pose as a recruitment agency for Petronas and charges job-seekers a certain amount of money in order to secure job opportunities with Petronas.

"Our sole official website is www.petronas.com.my and talent sourcing website is www.discoverpetronas.com," it said.

Petronas said it has lodged a police report and has instituted legal proceedings to shut down the website.

makin banyak lak sindiket menipu untuk mendapat kerja.. haritu sindiket menipu dalam sotkabar, ni menipu dalam internet lak.. :@ :@ :@ :@

sepatutnya employee x kena bayar to get a job, kalau agency tu deal dgn mana mana company sekalipun, company yg akan bayar direct kat agency.. bukan nye kena bayar dulu baru dpt kerja...
