salah satu attraction kat Tianjin ni Huangyaguan Great Wall..lebey kurang mcm kat Beijing tu..

The Huangyaguan Great Wall is 28 kilometers north of Ji county. Originally built in Tianbao 7th of Beiqi (557 A D), the Huangyanguan was repaired for the first time in Ming Dynasty with bricks and for the second time in 1985. In 1986 it was listed as a key relics protection target of Tianjin city. Now it is also chosen as a patriotic education and national defense education base of Tianjin.

ni salah satu best attraction utk shopping....

Jinmen Guli
Jinmen Guli means old place in Tianjin for the reason that Jinmen is another name for Tianjin and Guli implies old place. Actually Jinmen Guli is a street, Ancient Cultural Street (Gu Wenhua Jie). There are many stores along this street dealing in jade articles, antiques, traditional handicrafts, especially famous Niren Zhang painted sculptures and Weiji kites. What makes Gu Wenhua Jie so amazing is that buildings on both sides of this street imitate the architectural style of those in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

o yeke???hihihi....hmm ok nnt i try tanye dia...dia ade ckp tp x noted pun masuk kiri kuar kanan...tp shopping area yg dia slalu dok sebut, binjiang dao....however sini ade skit info dari google nak shopping katner...

Nowadays Tianjin is probably one of China's best places to come across a bargain, from antiques to western modern clothing. The markets and stores here are notorious as a shopping paradise for those bored of Beijing, and as such, on weekends, the place is flooded with antique hunters or those after a new wardrobe.

The best of the streets for general shopping has to be Binjiang dao, a huge street with block upon block of stalls and shops containing almost anything you might fancy. Generally though, the city is crammed with shopping facilities and a wander around any of the main drag will bring you into contact. Zhongxin Park is the northern boundary of the main shopping district, with surrounding roads of Dagu Lu, Jinzhou Dao and Chifeng Dao. For department stores, the Quanye Bazaar Department Store, a nine-storey steel construction on the corner of Changchun Dao and Heping Lu, is popular as the only one in China that uses real people instead of mannequins to models its clothes.

Probably the most popular destination for those shoppers to Tianjin has to be the Antique Market (Guwan shichang), centered on Shenyang dao. This area, just west of the main shopping district, is packed full of curios both old and new. Even if you have little intention of buying anything, you will still have fun strolling the alleys, which are lined with dark, small shops and stalls.

Peddlers here simply spread out a newspaper and put on display their arguably authentic curios for passers-by to peruse. Originally centered on Shenyang Jie, it has in recent years expanded into the neighboring streets and alleys. The size of the market varies according the time of a year and also day of the week, with Sunday attracting swarms of Beijing people bargain hunting. Be sure to try a verify your products, cynicism and hard bargaining are mandatory for the successful hunter.

masa ahkak gi beijing dulu, ader gak singgah tianjin tapi balik ari lah.  lebey kurang perjalanan cam kl ke melaka jer.
tpt2x shopping mall nih, dah tak ingatlah..., tp rasa mcm tak masuk.
cuma plg ingat, tour guide kasi kami shopping cam area petaling street jer.
kebykkan jual barang2x kesenian/antik diorglah, like tea pot cina yg comel2x tu (menyesal tak beli satu!), vase, mcm2x lagilah.  very interesting!
ada satu gerai kat situ, org tua cina muslim buat khat cina tapi tulis nama kita..., chantek woooo (menyesal tak rembat cepat.  time ahkak punyer giliran, kertas dier abis pulak!!!).
ader gak gerai2x yg jual cadar dgn harga rm50...., rembat gaklah sbb dah murah.
nak kata bersih tempat nih..., cam okeylah.
better sket kot dr beijing.
our tour guide bwk masuk kedai islam jual tidbits cam pelik2x yg tak penah jumpa kat kl (masa tuh lah about 3-4 yrs ago.  la nih, melambak jual kat sini).
kemdian tengok kawasan nak buat ala2x disneyland (ker mmg disneyland?), tapi tergendala sbb tak cukup fund rasanyer.
yg tak bole luper...., ader skali lalu dpn restoran kat saner, punyerlah beso katak hidup diorg display kat dpn restoran tuh.
masa tu baru jer lepas dinner kat saner.
katak tu sekor penuh satu besen plastik.....!!!

overall..., mmg tak rugi masuk tianjin pon!

relaxjek,
cuba try tgk hotel ni....Home Inn (Tianjin Bin Jiang Road)...hotel ni mmg nearby dgn shopping area..price dia dlm RMB199..so duit kite dlm rm100 la..kat dlm tripadvisor pun ade traveler reviews komen hotel ni ok..

ini dia review made by traveller tu..

Home Inn(www.homeinns.com) is a chain of more than 100 two star hotels all over China - there are more than 15 in Tianjin itself.

It is among the better two star hotels. Room rates are 179 RMB for a single and 199 for a double. Excellent value for money! Spotless clean bathroom with the usual soap, toothbrush, etc. The room was neat, spacious, modern, with tv, heater, and surprise - a bundle of books in the room to read (including Peter Drucker's The effective executive)!! Never seen that in a hotel before!

Best part - free broadband internet in the room.

The restaurant below serves a good sumptous breakfast (Chinese with enough for other nationalities to fill their palate with) for 12 RMB.

It is also very centrally located - 10 mins walk from Tianjin train station (Beijing is just 40 mins and 58 RMB away), and about 10 RMB by a motor-trishaw (tricab) to the Ancient Culture street. There is a 24 hr Mc Donaldsand a KFC close to the stn - near the beautiful millenium clock tower.

Cons -
One person at the reception speaks a bit of English. There is no money change service and only RMB is accepted. (You can change your USD at any of the dozen banks located a street away, timings 9 to 5)

Better to stay here - especially if you expect to be out in the open sight seeing during the day.

(PS - There is another Home Inn 10 mins away of the other side of the river, closer to the train station, with more eateries closeby)
