if you dont mind my saying book early Tru..
I went through hell with my bookings
thing is december is the winter season and while the day is nice cool and breezy the night can be harsh
it'll go as low as below 5 degrees and the tempreture drop is very sudden
the minute the sun sets tiba2 je sejuk gile..
my guide dah pesan kat me awal2..dia dah suruh bawak proper clothing before datang
so when you book your hotel make sure room you ade heater
i wanted to stay at khangsar depan Anatolia tu tp room dia takde heater
and people have been telling me that kalau winter forget about budget rooms
the extra blankets are gone before you even ask the reception
the floors will be freezing the water needs nearly 45 mins to get hot
so imagine when you're cold and needing a hot bath or shower the water is tepid
then in december kathmandu seems like not showing any means of slowing down and the good rooms get taken quickly
just wanting to share with you these things
do shop around for rooms and do it quickly
budget places like trekkers home buat hal la pulak like hiking their prices like crazy
dah nak sama pulak harga dia dgn Access or Ambassador Garden
If you're looking for a hotel in Thamel find somewhere central like around Thamel Chowk dont go south...
area tak bagus...not safe especially at night like area freak street...
dekat area freak street tu ade Iraqi Mosque but a bit dodgy area tu to me
So good luck and plan early

Awak ni kalau membebel macam mak nenek ya hahahahaha aduihh. 
Thanks for all your tips, duk baca ni. I jadi pegi la, I will be leaving on the last week of Dec, dah beli flights tiket pun. And hotel pun dah booked lama dah. Hotelnya bernama Jeng jeng jeng hehe segan la pulak nak bitau. Ada rooftop and I booked 2 suites since there are 4 of us. I read the review was good for this hotel, amazing garden and very quiet. So dah booked dah. Mahal sikit but I go for comfort (hopefully).
Cuma belum ada itinerary, sebab belum baca baca hish ada masa sikit duk bertengkar kat CI nun jadi tak baca baca jugak sini hehe but will do definitely before leaving. Despite Jane's reviews, I'm still going for the VOA.
Nak include lah jugak bakhtapur ke haper yang nenek kata bandar tua tu. History is my thing! History and nature and food.
Enjoy your trip Lela. I pun excited ni.
(next year: confirmed Perth and Venice woooho!!)

any day anytime kalau lela mampu tolong i'm happy to do it
nepal is OK la nek but come with an open mind yea
tempat ni not everyone's cup of tea tp i really liked it
kalau nenek nak plan nenek pegi la bhaktapur patan and nagarkot
ni boleh buat 2 hari sebab nak lawat old cities tu kan...
old cities dia dorang pamggil durbar square
so bhaktapur and patan ade durbar square dorang sendiri
lepas tu kalau nenek duduk kathmandu 2 hari and nak tgk2 tempat mcm Durbar Square dia dah boleh cover bhaktapur and patan skali
kathmandu's durbar square has more to offer than the others IMHO
kalau nenek nak trekking lite2 pon boleh
trek dia tak semua yg nenek tgk dlm travel agent punya website
banyak trek yg dorang tak sebut pun
yg dorang advertise tu yg major trek saje
lela masa pegi first time dulu banyak gak buat trek yg senang2 sebelum attempt ABC
Annapurna Base Camp yg lela buat dulu tu to me is very mencabar la..
kalau nenek nak attempt yg entry level yg medium boleh try poon hill...
tidak susah TAPI tak jugak senang... agak susah
kalau nak attempt ni nenek kena buat training for 3 months utk stamina
sebelum kami trek kami train sebanyak mungkin
kalau nenek selak page belakang ade kami bincang sket pasal training ni..
bila nenek nak pegi?
jgn ambik agen melalui internet
nenek ambil agent di hotel travel desk tempat nenek nak stay nnt
harga jauh lebih murah dr online dan hotel akan sediakan guide and the rest for you..
layanan 1st class sbb you are their guest and they will want to provide you the best service cos to them returning guest to penting

trek mane yg lela nak attempt during this period belum tentu lagi
nnt sampai pokhara nak lepak2 dgn hikers and trekkers lain dengar dorang story semua tu then baru decide
kathmandu and Pokhara are also a shopping haven...bawak je duit..kasi tapau semua ok ekekeke
nek lela tau nenek bongkok berapa..so jangan nak ngengade eh...cam la awak tu bongkok 3..cesss

Haaaa...sapa2 yang nak pi nepal....siap sedia dgn catuan elektriknya....tengah sok2 tidoq...tup2 aircond tarak...masa tu pulak bulan 5... Panaih lengiit laaa.....
Mmg naik bas kathmandu ke pokhara 8 jam....mmg scary...jalan dah laa kecik...berlubang2 laaa pulak...melanton2 badan dalam bas! Sampai sakit2 badan sbb suspension and absorber bas tu dah out! Makan kalu kat kathmandu....kami makan kat turkish restaurant tu saja....kat pokhara...kat satu vegitarian restaurant tengah2 pekan....all in all....holiday kat nepal ni....mmg menginsapkan! |

salam all. sambungan trip report.
day 3 - a day in pokhara
sampai jer airport pokhara, amik luggage then terus cari guide antara org2 yg tengah tunggu kat depan pagar airport. jumpe dia terus dia bawak ke teksi. ah..keta kia picanto yg sekecik2 kelisa tu la jadi transport kitaorg.
1st destination - pegi kat tourist centre utk dapatkan permit trekking ACAP. this time, durga tetiba mintak gambar passport...which kitaorg ingatkan semua dh kasi. dhla dia mintak dua keping. semalam kitaorg dh kasi 2 keping kat agen di thamel..now he was asking more. nasib baek kitaorg dh siap2 print lebih.
2nd destination - check in hotel. agen book Yeti hotel. and bear in mind, kat pokhara neh ada 2-3 Yeti hotel. our hotel terletak a bit further from the lakeside town of pokhara. hotel was ok...maklumlah pprt. selesa and cantek suasana sekitar dia. staff pun attentive..eventhough diaorg cam struggle nk speaking london. the only setbacks - power cut and air bau karat...hehe.
3rd destination, sbb agen dh janji kitaorg dapat complimentary half-day tour..so dia bawak kitaorg pergi Davis Fall. tgk water fall and tempat neh ramai gak local tourists visit. entrance fee - 20 rupee
4th destination - dari davis fall, kitaorg gerak ke one of the tibetan refugee camp. tengok org2 tibet ni buat rug/carpet etc. well.. time neh aku dh perasan guide cam dh malas nak bawak jejalan (maklumla complimentary)..sbb dia cam just dropped kitaorg and cakap kat situ sini ..then let us jejalan..pastu cam tak sabar2 nak balik.
after refugee camp, ends our tour..so kitaorg balik hotel utk rest. dalam perjalanan aku tanya kat guide..camno nak pegi boating kat phewa tal. pastu dia dgn berbesar hati offer utk bawak kitaorg pegi lakeside etc. after lunch. good enough..tetiba dia semangat pulak.
balik hotel..solat dan rehat kejap..then kitaorg kuar cari lunch. ekceli masa jalan2 sendiri neh..kitaorg tak sure nk gerak ke arah mana..so jalan dekat2 sahaja..and we had the impression pokhara lakeside town neh..kecik jer..hehe... cari2 kedai..last2 makan kat fewa cafe and restaurant..sbb kdai neh nampak ok sket..lunch order nepalese vegetarian set and fish briyani. first time try dhal bat nye set..and x sedap aaa..haha..rasa pelik combination dhal bat yg agak tawar, pickles yg pedas pelik...then chutney apetah..hehe.
sudah lunch..balik hotel..tetiba disapa oleh Durga..tak sabar2 dia nk bawak gi lakeside..
so kitaorg pun jalan la dari hotel ke lakeside..dia cakap dekaaat jer..end up dekat 20 minit gak jalan...dhla mamat neh jalan laju (maklumla trekker kan)..then kitaorg pulak relaks jer jalan sambil amik gambar etc. kadang2 bila dia berpaling...nampak gakla muke dia cam x puas hati sbb kitaorg jalan2 lambat.. ape kes?

open mind cemane maksud nenek? are they open minded ke? kalau tu maksud nenek then india la lg more exposed to foreigners generally. Macam kat Nepal contohnya masih ade la children yg akan pegang2 kite or usik2 barang kite bila jumpa...they are just curious...ni belum lagi masok kampung2 dorang...another contoh is masa lepas buat paragliding budak2 ni suka sgt pegi terkam ke pilot and the chute and ini bahaya..sebab depa in their path kan...selalu kena marah tp tak makan saman...meka masih fascinated la dgn benda2 ni...
kalau masok kampung meka sgt2 polite...always greeted us with 'namaste'...
in nepal the people are poor but they dont cut back on hospitality...they work really hard....ni secara general...tp mmg ade hantu2 yg macam AJ cerita tu...
india to me is different...to a point i would say depressing...tp dlm kate depressing tu dah 3 kali lela repeat india...
no..i do love india....tarikan yg tersendiri...
there are similarities in many ways but then again it's different...i dont want to elaborate for now...
for fear that i might get carried away with my thought process....boring dan pengsan nenek nnt

Yes AJ...I went and also saw the Kali Gandaki...and Seti Gandaki was sooooo sejok cos sempat turun ke bawah fefeeling summer gituh ehehehe....
but i must say that you kena la try trek ni....i sambung lepas poonhill...
it's so different from other treks....but maybe it's not fair for me to say that...after all i've only done that very few...
but in true honesty...i simply love this trek...

Hmm...I masih nak pakai dresses tu. You would have not advised me against it, if you have seen me in those dresses. I believe Kathmandu could use some amazing curves along their street this Christmas ha ha

. You rasa logic tak Lela I nak pakai dresses di Kathmandu tu? I got meself walking shoes and a sport shoes though, and a long jacket.
