Itinerary :
depart from KUL at 0955am, arrive Kathmandu at 1230pm (30 Jan)
depart from Kathmandu at 1400pm, arrive Pokhara at 1425pm (30Jan)
I'm of the opinion that it is safer to be in Kathmandu on the day you want to take your international flight out of Kathmandu...

Shopping in the Old Bazaar
Walk around Phewa
KIM, Old Bazaar need some time to explore so I suggest if you really want to shop do it in Kathmandu or Pokhara je...
it's quaint and quirky no doubt and prices are cheaper at the Old Bazaar BUT the best looking goods are taken to Pokhara Lakeside and Kathmandu...
no doubt you will pay a little bit more tapi banyak choices and range di Kathmandu and Pokhara lakeside...
31 Jan hike from Pokhara to Sarangkot to see sunrise, then hike down to Pokhara (ni patut hike ke naik cab?)
I think you tak payah hike going up and going down...ask your transport to wait for you and go straight down with your transport....leave it for your next trip...lepas you buat Sarangkot you ask your driver to take you to Peace Stupa and enjoy the view there...like Sarangkot, you need to hike up for a short while and hike down....kereta tak boleh naik ke Sarangkot Viewpoint and to Peace Stupa...they will park at the visitors car park and wait for you there...you need to go on your own sampai atas...
1 Feb hike from lakeside to Peace Stupa then down again to the lake
Visit one of the Tibetan refugee camps and spend time with the locals
KIM, ade 3 main Tibetan Refugee Camp di Pokhara...satu di kaki bukit Peace Stupa and 2 lagi just outside Pokhara....the one yg better for you to visit is the one just outside Pokhara at a place near Hemja...this is the biggest and worth the visit...before you go I would advise you give it a thought on what you nak buat di sana...refugee camp ni yg interesting are their way of life...so you nak tgk cemane monks go about their daily life and how the kids are educated semua tu la kan....then there's their small industry whereby they sell their trinkets and blings....kedai2 or rather gerai2 dorang tutup tiap2 tuesday...so plan ahead bebeh...
2 Feb check out from hotel
depart from PKR at 0900am, arrive KTM at 0925am (2nd feb)
pusing2 sekitar pekan Kathmandu if nak beli souvenir etc (sempat ke?)
depart from KTM at 1320pm, arrive KUL at 2020pm (2 Feb )
sempat la kalau you nak buat quick shopping if you know where to go and have transport to take you to the airport...jalan di Kathmandu sangat2 sesak...traffic jam dia unbelievable...so plan ahead of time...paling penting arrange transport ke airport and plan kat mane nak letak your backpack...unless you nak carry it around with you...

Apa procedure nye dan kos?
KIM...try your very best to get your visa done in Malaysia...please go to the embassy and insist that you want the visa done the same day...it can be done and it will save you a lot of hassle...kaka truly dah buat and she managed to get it done on the same day...tell them you have a programme at the pokhara orphanage and you are a voluntary worker...i'll give you the address and email of the orphanage if you want and need it...

Jangan confirm ape2 dgn tour guide cos they cant do anything for you from there and they will charge you unnecessarily....it's better and safer for you to communicate with your hotel for your sight seeing arrangements...
Dia ckp dr kathmandu ke pokhara naik flight n dr pokhara ke kathmandu dgn kereta sbb dia ckp flight pg slalu delay takot kim x sempat check in
Kalau dia ckp mcm tu maknanya mmg Pokhara kena blanket...if that happens mmg you kena naik kereta dr Pokhara...the car ride must be done early in the morning like 4am sbb it takes 6 to 8 hours to get you to Kathmandu....dan kalau plane tak boleh take off kabus di jalan pun sama...cloud bank...you akan experience something really scarry on the road nnt sbb kalau berkabus tebal the visibility can be as bad as less than 50 metres...that happened to me before...scarry gile...

Betul ke estimation yg kim buat 2?huhu
KIM airport transfer paling mahal di Kathmandu is USD20 per trip per car...tak kisah berapa org you sumbat dlm kereta...
Ok dia revise itinerary yg kim bg jd mcm ni:
30jan - ktm-pkr afternoon flight
- check in at hotel trek-o-tel
- Evening boating at phewa lake, dia akan bawa. Btw phewa lake kta bleh jalan kaki or guna transport biasanya?
Phewa Lake tu depan hotel you je KIM....
31jan - sunrise at sarangkot with guide n transport
- Davis fall, seti river george, gupteshwor cave n tibetan refugee kem
(yg ni tak buat pon takpe KIM...)
- Hike peace stupa for sunset
1st feb- drive back to kathmandu, singgah manokamana temple, naik guna cable car
- Check in at hotel manaslu
iols rasa tak yah la buat cable car ni....go straight to kathmandu and explore Thamel lagi baik...sbb cable car ni khas utk ke temple...view dia OK OK jah...tak pegi pon takpe...cantik lagi view di Pokhara....hukhuk...
2nd feb- airport transfer
Ok dia nyer quotation termasuk

tix to pokhara boleh mintak org hotel di pokhara tolong book...nnt dia email kat you the e-tix...dan harga boleh kowteem....
one way to pokhara lela penah dapat USD 65 masa off peak dan USD75 masa peak season...
- Airport transfer
USD25 paling mahal...tu pon kalau you stay di nagarkot and 5 star hotel...kalau bertolak dr Thamel dia charge antara USD10-USD15 sajork...
- Tax, toll, parking
yg ni kite tak payah bayar sbb dah masok dlm cost transport
- english speaking guide
semua guide speak english sayam sbb kalau dia ckp nepali takdok org nak ambik dia jadik guide...
- sight seeing tour yg kim listkan tu (ada 2lgtemple yg kim minta dia buang dr itinerary)
boleh je kalau nak tgk dia punya temple kim...sbb temple dorang selalunya open...tp dont visit just any temple...visit yg listed under unesco punya...lela pegi ke pasupathinath dan terjebak tertengok funeral dorang...1st time tgk body kena bakar...iols traumaaa..
- Hotel 3 star with breakfast
yep...make sure ade breakfast...belasah je breakfast dia especially the indian breakfast sbb mmg value for money...tp kalau nak order continental mmg ade hits and misses la...omelette selalu fail....by my standard ekekekeke

KIM, kalau naik kereta please ask your hotel to book for you...dorang ade sense of loyalty..
the hotel always have a duty to ensure that their guests are safe...
and the drivers are from the transport company that service the hotel and their guests...
so dorang takut nak buat slack sbb they are dependent on the hotels for business...

I am going to try to answer all your queries and attempt to make sure uols faham ape yg iols type ni...
nak tercabot jantung iols ni....HAHAHAHA
guide akan ambil USD25 per day including their meals and whathaveyous...yg tu guide utk hiking and trekking...so kalau guide utk sight seeing charge dia paaaaling mahal dlm USD15 mcm tu....for one whole day....
transport for one day in pokhara usually USD15...kalau dorang nak press pun dlm USD20....and that is for 12 hours....
flight tickets are usually booked by agents....tiap2 hotel adalah agent for Nepal tourism...kalau you book dr hotel, they will give you discount provided you ask for it...kalau you tak mintak dia akan charge you full fare...the standard discount is 25%-30%....
ade hotel/agent yg boleh bg you more....

I suggest you spend 2 days in Pokhara and 2 days in Kathmandu...
Day 1 – Pokhara
arrive Pokhara
check in (by 3pm
Peace Stupa (then singgah View Point Cafe for coffee and cake and drink up the view! Tp kena turun before the sun set sbb nnt tergolek jatuh masa nak turun sbb dah gelap)
Phewa Lake boat ride (kalau sempat sbb by 5pm dah sunset. Kalau tak sempat boleh buat boat ride on the 2nd day)
Then go to Mike's Cafe for your 'sunset spectacular' by the lake
back to hotel
then lepas freshen up you might want to have dinner at Love Kush...
just a few minutes from your hotel....dlm resto ni ade fire place and it's a nice place...food's ok and internet pun OK...
atau you can have your dinner at Lazeez Halal restaurant...about 5 minutes walk from trek-o-tel
food dia sedap and murah!
pastu balik hotel...tido...zzzzzzz
Day 2 – Pokhara
sunrise in Sarangkot
Refugee Camp at Hemja (kalau uols ke Sarangkot, refugee camp ni is on the way and it's enroute....
paragliding
Phewa Lake for boat ride (kalau yesterday tak sempat)
shopping along lakeside Pokhara
back to hotel
dinner (kat mane2 pun along the main road near your hotel banyak resto...cuba makan kat Love Kush, Cafe concerto, Black and white or makan kat the other halal restaurant depan boomerang tu...)
then as you jalan kaki balik ke hotel boleh cuci mata or shopping2 for last minute buys before uols balik hotel and zzzzzz....... tido cepat sbb esok nak travel pagi2 gelap tuh....
Day 3 Pokhara – Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu
Check in hotel
Bhaktapur or Patan
Back to Thamel and do what ever you fancy...
nak shopping lagi pon OK gak kat Kathmandu sbb things are cheap tp kalau iols I will go to Kathmandu Durbar Square and have a look at Kumari...cute owh dia...serious...bila dorang dok semayang masa tgk dia uols try to catch her eyes and offer her the “Namaste”...
then walk back to Thamel ikut Asan....kat sini banyaaaaakkkk kedai and bz sket sbb locals punya pot kat sini but this place is a beaute...i love it! ehehehehe
Dinner - maybe uols nak try makan di Anatolia...
Day 4 Kathmandu
Morning - Garden of Dreams
then kalau semalam tak sempat ke Kathmandu Durbar Square maybe you can visit it lepas today...
ataupun....
morning-take mountain flight for everest...
lepas mountain flight terus ke international airport
OR
go back to Thamel and shopping and photog and ape2 je la...what takes your fancy...

when you get to Kathmandu Tribhuvan....grab 2 maps... 1 for kathmandu and the other for Pokhara so that you can get acclimatise with your bearings and surroundings as fast as you can...it will make you feel so much better....

I hope uols tak lupa yg weather might not be OK upon arrival jugak...tak semestinya di Pokhara saje...kalau weather tak bagus plane Kathmandu-Pokhara tak leh land jugak...

Ni mmg nekad nak pi juga last min 2 yg x sempat prepare ape2
Pasal weather rasanya sejuk lg kot so kim assume mcm kat swiss bley g2?bw warmer n fleece jacket

yes. book hotel lepas tu email kat dorang dan minta pick you up at Pokhara airport. also tell them you need to make tour arrangement dgn dorang
Any recommended hotel di kathmandu n pokhara?
i would go with your choice on trek-o-tel sbb view dr hotel tu sebelah kanan sgt cantik..sebelah kiri hotel is view tasik..dan trek-o-tel convenient for you...airport is 10 minutes away...dekat dgn tempat2 makan...kedai2 situ banyak...near the main road...
apa2 jd nnt you tak isolated..tp hotel ni ade yg tak suka sbb a bit dated...but i can say hotel ni selamat...
another hotel i would consider is Hotel Snowland...it's right smack in the middle of the lakeside...depan hotel tu dah mmg tempat org berkumpul utk naik boat dan ade tibetan women jual2 trinkets...and resto temple garden depan hotel ni...
OK i tak nak confusekan uols KIM...dah takde masa nak buat research kan? stay je la kat trek-o-tel...that's a good choice...

sejuk jugak la skarang especially malam...not as cold as switzerland but it does get to the bones bak kate org...fleece jacket and down jacket ade banyak jual di Kathmandu and Pokhara...you need'nt worry about it...

in kathmandu i suggest you look at Hotel Access...right smack in the middle of thamel...
another hotel yg i like is Backyard...tp hotel ni a bit tricky to find...
also try and look at Khangsar Guesthouse...hotel ni OK...sebelah ade good souvenier shop and also my favourite bookshop is across the road...
hotel ni depan Anatolia...
but if you can, stay di Access Hotel
