Melbourne Tourist Attractions:
There are many Melbourne tourist attractions that will give you a good impression of what Melbourne is about. From Federation Square to river foreshores, from historical attractions to city laneways and observation decks.

However, you cannot absorb Melbourne with a few snap shots. Melbourne has soul and to really get to know it you cannot just scratch its surface.

One of the best ways of getting to know the Melbourne culture is to immerse yourself in the Melbourne lanes and arcades, with their intimate shops, cafes and atmosphere. To really get to see the more hidden sights we recommend to take a Melbourne walking tour.

As an alternative, you can also explore Melbourne by bike, kayak or with a guide. There are various other recommended sightseeing Melbourne tours to get you started.

The Yarra River:

The Yarra foreshore is picturesque and a great place for walks from Federation Square. Cut down to the river and walk all the way to the Melbourne sports venues and the MCG. Across Princess Bridge is the Southbank arts and entertainment precinct. From there I recommend you take one of the popularYarra Cruises, or the Williamstown Ferry. They travel either up- or downstream along the river and into Port Phillip Bay.Taking a River Cruise is an ambient Melbourne experience with magnificent views of the Melbourne Skyline, city foreshore, urban parklands, sports arenas and Melbourne Docks.

Melbourne City Attractions:
The Free Melbourne City Circle Tram and the Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle are hop on, hop off services that give you a good overview of what there is to see. They have announcements about all the Melbourne Tourist attractions on the way.

These and a few other things to do in Melbourne are free.

One of most popuplar attractions is the Tram Car Restaurant Melbourne. It follows along the city circle tracks. You can experience exquisite dining and wining in a historical tram passing by the city lights, sights and attractions.

Well worth the view is the Melbourne Observation deck , which will give you a great vista over Melbourne, Port Phillip Bay, and on a good day all the way to the Dandenongs and surrounding areas.

Right on the Yarra, there is the Melbourne Aquarium, the only Southern Ocean aquarium in Australia. The state of the art complex, featuring over 1000 sea creatures, including giant sharks and stingrays, is well worth a visit.

The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne are famous, tranquil, expansive, and right at the south end of the city. You will find an amazing range of plants, as well as opportunities to relax.

Melbourne Guide for the Senses
Melbourne is famous for its multiplicity of tastes, subcultures and styles.

The various city precincts are important attractions Melbourne has to offer: there is China Town , the Greek precinct, the Italian quarter, and more, each of them with their distinctive shopping and dining experiences from around the world.

Melbourne is also the fashion and coffee culture capital of Australia. The list of Australia tourist attractions has to include the various exquisite Melbourne shopping experiences you can have right in the city.

To check out the visual arts scene, investigate the art galleries Melbourne.

Historical Attractions:

If you are on a history trail, there is a fantastic array of historical Melbourne attractions . Throughout the city there are many heritage buildings as well as stunning new constructions along its wide tree lined avenues and in its intimate lanes.

For a deeper understanding of its history, there is a whole list of museums Melbourne is proud of: the Gold Treasury, the Melbourne City museum, the Immigration museum, and the Old Melbourne Goal are just the beginning of a list of places tracing past times and influences in Melbourne.

This is a long list of Melbourne tourist attractions. Many visitors return to visitMelbourne places of interest they missed on earlier visits, and we locals are still finding new areas to explore.

Melbourne guna myki. Kad color hijau ala2 touch n go. So konsepnya pun sama dengan touch n go. So boleh beli myki di 7eleven or other convenience store, n top up siap2. Fare calculator dorg divide by zone. Ad zone 1 n zone 2. Haritu iols x pergi tempat jauh2, so mmg travel dalam zone 1 je. Hari tu 3 full days iols top up 30aud, ada baki lagi sket. Ngaahaha. Iols duk kat malaysian hall sbb paling murah, location wise mmg jauh sket dari area city centre tapi dekat je dgn tram stop. Dari malaysian hall, jalan dalam 2 minit je. Tram pun banyak lalu situ. Uols belum book accom kah?

iols.. kalo nak pi negara2 hemisfera selatan ni, iols prefer pi tyme winter i.e. sekitar bulan may-july... nak merasa cuaca musim sejuk .. tp jgn harap nak dapat main salji pasai jarang negara2 hemisfera selatan ni bersalji tyme winter.. unless kalo pi area area pergunungan ...

iols pun bercadang nak dok kat MH gak ... kalo tak silap, rate lebey kurang AUD30 ... ~RM90 ... kalo dok luar, rega AUD mmg murah .. around AUD70 ke atas, tapi lepas convert pi RM... berasap gak

Nak jenguk umah lama, kut2 ada forumer rekomen which hostel/hotel yag murah2.. tapi umah lama tu dah exist since few years sebelum kena katup.. takut lak kalo info kat situ not updated... kena rely on otai otai yang pernah pi Melben dalam tempoh setahun dua kebelakangan nie ...

Part sydney tu iols rasa ad lawak sikit. Iols ni dah la x suka/ x reti naik bas tp kat Sydney mmg harus Terpaksa naik bas. Tram/metro/train kan ad laluan n station, so mmg akan berhenti kat station/stop yg ditetapkan la. Bus ni lalu jalan raya, rasa takut terlajak bus stop jah. Leher memanjang tengok sekeliling nak tau landmark. Sebelum pergi gigih study Kira berapa bus stop sepanjang perjalanan dari Sydney airport ke randwick junction. Sekali dah naik bus tu, bus stop nya lagi banyak, route pusing sana sini sampai iols pening. Nasib baik bgtau driver siap2 nak turun kat mana. Melbourne iols naik tram jah, mmg rasa selamat n x takut sesat. Cuma masa g GOR je naik tour bus.

Kalau uols jenis x kisah, ad few backpackers hostel area city centre tu cuma a bit pricey la after convert kalau nak private room.

Segala mak nenek 3 in 1 mmg x berani nak bawak. So banyak budget untuk beli food kat sana
