So sad. When Mick Jagger was snapped enjoying a day on the beach in Perth, Australia he clearly had no idea that his longtime girlfriend, designer L’Wren Scott, was so depressed that she would commit suicide.

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is absolutely “devastated” after his longtime love, 49-year-old fashion designer L’Wren Scott,was found hanged to death in an apparent suicide. Mick was on tour in Australia with his Rolling Stone bandmates when he learned the tragic news.

Mick, along with his fellow bandmates Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, arrived in Perth, Australia, early on the morning of March 17, just hours before L’Wren’s body was found by her assistant in the designer’s Manhattan apartment.

Mick looked happy and carefree in a photo taken on the beach in Perth, Australia shortly before he found out about L’wren’s passing.

The Stones were set to perform their first show in Australia on March 19, but it seems unlikely that Mick will perform as planned after this shocking blow.

L’wren was found hanging from a scarf on a doorknob by her assistant at 200 11th Ave. at around 10 a.m. on March 17, police told the NY Daily News. According to a source, police do not suspect foul play, however, the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death. She was found unresponsive, and when EMS got there she was announced dead on arrival, police confirmed toHollywoodLife.com.

According to the newspaper, the designer texted her assistant at 8:30 a.m. and asked her to come over, police sources said. When she arrived, she found L’Wren’s body and called 911.

Mick and L’Wren had been dating for more than 10 years before her death. “He is completely shocked and devastated by the news,” a spokesperson for the legendary lead singer told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

2.00pm GMT (10pm Perth time) - Mick Jagger arrived at Coco’s restaurant in a chauffeur-driven black sedan from the Stones’ hotel, the five-star Hyatt Regency.

2.45pm GMT (10.45pm Perth time) - A vehicle pulls up outside the restaurant, a black Q7, thought to be from the Stones’ entourage at The Hyatt Regency. A woman and man rush inside.

2.53pm GMT (10.53pm) - Mick and the others came out of the restaurant as a group.

4.23pm GMT (00.23am Perth time) - News of L’Wren’s death breaks on a New York website

Memang betul tu.. and die juga jenis pompuan yg very proud of herself and her achievement. Maybe stress sangat kot coz her business going down and mick pulak takde nak bawak die kawin lagi even dah lama bersama.

L'Wren Scott's death officially ruled as suicide

Reports claim Scott had been planning to announce that she was closing her clothing business

The death of fashion designer L'Wren Scott, the longtime girlfriend of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, was suicide, the New York City medical examiner's office has said.

An autopsy completed on the body of 49-year-old Scott found that she died of hanging, according to Julie Bolcer, a spokesman for the city medical examiner.

Scott was found dead in her Manhattan apartment on Monday morning. There was no note.

The Stones cancelled their seven-date tour of Australia and New Zealand in the wake of Scott's death. Jagger called Scott his "lover and best friend" in a Facebook tribute and said he was struggling to come to grips with her death.

Jagger's bandmates voiced their support for him amid a trying time.

Mick Jagger pays tribute - ‘I am struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way'


Mick Jagger has paid an emotional tribute to his girlfriend, the late L’Wren Scott, saying that he is “struggling to understand” what led the fashion designer to take her life yesterday.

Scott was found dead by her assistant at her Manhattan apartment yesterday morning. She is thought to have committed suicide.

In a statement on his website, Jagger posted the following:

“I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.

“We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.

“She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.

“I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.

“I will never forget her.

“Mick.”

The Rolling Stones have now cancelled the first date of their Australian tour following the news.

The band were scheduled to play in Perth on Wednesday, but the promoter confirmed the gig had been axed for the foreseeable future.

The Stones are slated to play five more shows in Australia, but it is unclear as of yet whether they will go ahead.

The On Fire tour is then scheduled to move to Europe in June, with concerts planned for the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Belgium.

Sir Mick, 70, began dating Scott in 2001.
