exciting stuff if you're a book freak like me - borders bookstore is opening up in Times Square on the 19th of April. occupying 60 000 square feet, they are to be the biggest bookstore in malaysia.
i, for one, hope that they cater to niche topics and have more non-mainstream books (mph if you notice, no matter hooooowwwww big their stores are, always dedicate their shelves to mainstream stuff). i also hope that they have membership card thingies for book discounts (like Times Bookstore. this is what kino lacks.) extra points for them if they have searchable online databases that reflect their stock accurately.

The 1st floor mainly fiction (sectionalised by horror, science fiction, romance, poems, drama, etc). 2nd floor more on reference book and kids section. Buku-buku historicals yang mmg tak ada kat MPH memang banyak kat sini. In terms of books I cannot decide which I like better, kino or Borders. BUT one main difference that I noticed is that the price of books are generally quite expensive as compared to kino or mph. I think may be because they priced the book based on the price tag on the book and just calculate the price in RM based on
the exchange rate. Yang menarik about Borders is that most books tak de plastic covered, so boleh baca semua, also lots of sofa & benches around. nih Ahadiatnyer lak...

i bought complete set ler.... betul ke? nak tanya, kalau kat seremban town ada ker kedai buku second hand ni? dulu ada satu kat seremban parade, sekarang ni dah tak de dah, tak tahu nak carik kat mana dah.... tu yg asyik beli buku baru kat popular book store je, kopak gaklah poket......even dpt 10% diskaun as member.....

Tempat Buku Terpakai...
Nak tanya pasal tempat jual buku2 terpakai area lembah klang...kalo kat penang area sharostar..kalo kat MPH saya dah survey rega buku dia dedekat RM60 tapi kat situ bleh dapat dlm RM18 je walaupun buku baru..ada tak kedai2 gitu kat area lembah klang nih?????:kunyah::kunyah::kunyah: cuba refer kat thread book place kat atas tu....ada banyak tempat......Kat KL ni ada payless, untuk maklumat lanjut sila rujuk thread di atas.... :) kat the mall ada satu dkt dgn foodcourt tkt atas rugi tak pegi kedai buku terpakai sewaktu pgi kl hari tu..
