He was the one who came into my life

Just as I thought I am doomed to live
He was the one who made me see the rainbows and the stars
When all there is to see are the white clouds lazing on the skies

He was the one I thought I could give my heart to
After all these years that I am alone
He was the one I hoped to gain intimacy with
As time passes by and as we know more of each other
He was the one I planned to take home to meet my mum
Someone I know she’d trust to take care of me for a lifetime
He was the one I bragged on continuously about
To my faithful and best of friends
He was the one I accepted amidst all his flaws
Because I know there’s something special about him
That I cannot afford to let go

He was the one I showed concern for, night or day
I am always there if he calls
He was the one I’d spend my last coins for
I don’t care if I was starving because he was my priority
He was the one I looked forward to kiss
Even if it’s exclusively a goodnight kiss and nothing more
He was the one I wanted to hold for the rest of my life
To cradle him as though he is my little baby

He was the one who said he wanted to be friends
He said it many times but I refused to understand
He was the one who took me lightly
Though he knows I have these feelings for him
He was the one who never cared to make plans
Because he is not very sure
Whether we’ll be meeting next week

He can’t be bothered to call me anymore
And I was to call him if I have something to say
He was the one who walked away from my life
Without giving me a valid reason, why?

He was the one I didn’t confess my love to
Because I was too afraid of wrecking a beautiful friendship

with a brand new car , he drives away from my life
He was the one whom I hope will return
After he’s had enough of life adventures and
When he is seeking for a heart to live in
He was the one I know would never come back
Though we used to be happy
He decided he’s had enough of me

But he never did give me the chance

For making me happy on my 20th year of living
He was the one I love
He doesn’t know this. He does not want to know this..
But he is still the one
He is irreplaceable, he is a rare gem
He is my friend

More than friends with
He is the one whom I look forward to meet
Someday ahead
Though he does not wish to see me
To catch his glimpse is all I plead

Now that he’s gone I miss him so much,
My heart is bleeding, my soul is empty,
I have no reason to live for another day

I miss his smile, I miss his voice
I miss his kiss, and I miss his scent
I know he does not feel the same way
He does not care now
