We know that the Galaxy Note III and very possibly the Galaxy Gear smartwatch are saying hello to the world for the first time on September 4, and now the release period for the popular phablet may have been revealed, if sources at SamMobile are to be believed.

SamMobile has recently been at the forefront when it comes to leaking everything about Samsung’s upcoming devices. This time, they claimed that they have received the shipping dates for both gadgets. While the smartphone will be available for purchase in the same month as it’s unveiling, the smartwatch will only begin shipping a month later in October. More specifically, week 36 for the Note III and week 40 for the Galaxy Gear, though it may get delayed for one or two weeks depending on regions.

On another note (pun not intended), Samsung also reportedly confirmed to drop the 16GB variant of the Note III in favor of a larger capacity (32GB minimum?). S4 users know that for the 16GB advertised for their device, only about half of it is usable as the remaining half is taken up by all the Samsung apps (read: bloatware). Good news indeed to those stores a lot of multimedia files in their phone such a videos and games as 16GB can be used up pretty quickly.

Are you excited for the Note III and the Galaxy Gear? Just exactly 2 more weeks from today before we will finallyget our first glimpse of them and hopefully the devices themselves on our hands not too long after that.

[Confirmed] Samsung Galaxy Gear Is Coming On September 4

While we know that the Samsung Galaxy Note III is all but confirmed to be announced in an “Unpacked” event scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany in September 4, any lingering doubts about the rumored appearance of the Korean giant’s first smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear, alongside the phablet will surely be quashed now that the executive vice president of the company’s mobile business, Lee Young-hee had confirmed its arrival.

“We will be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at our own event in Berlin on Sept. 4,” said Lee in an exclusive interview with the Korea Times.

Additionally, she also confirmed previous rumors that it won’t feature a flexible display, an awesome piece of technology Samsung showcased to the world earlier this year. Fret not however, as she hinted it may well be a possibility in the future as the company is preparing to introduce more advanced models in the future as they already have IPs (Intellectual properties) for patents as well as concept designs for future wearable devices.

So there you have it, Samsung ready to make its grand entrance into the smartwatch warfare after Sony fired the first salvo with their SmartWatch 2. When will be Apple’s turn? It will come, slowly but surely.

The Galaxy Gear (codename: SM-V700) is a smartwatch. Yes, the kind that you wear around your wrist. Apart from the ability to tell time, what’s so “smart” about this smartwatch? Well, for starters, it can display SMS, read emails, surf the net and…wait for it…make phone calls! The Galaxy Gear is said to be a companion accessory for Samsung smartphones and it will run on the Android operating system. Not much is known about this mysterious device currently but Samsung did file a patent of what looks very much like a smartwatch (as shown below) back in May. Sadly, it will not feature the flexible/bendable display technology shown by the Korean company earlier this year, reports claimed. But hey, you never know until its official.

Avid tech followers will know smartwatch tech is not exactly a new thing. We have the popular Pebble smartwatch, the Sony SmartWatch 2 and rumors are rife that a certain fruit company will debut its very own smartwatch, dubbed the iWatch (what else?) later this year. With wearable technology touted to be the next big thing after smartphones and tablets, the battle between these technology giants is set to spill into new territory, and the winner is us consumers as more and more innovations are being brought to the masses.

Jam pintar terbabit adalahproduk pertama bagi syarikat ini dalam kategori yang dikenali sebagai perantipengkomputeran mudah dipakai. Presiden dan CEO SamsungJK Chin berkata kategori ini bukan sahaja memperkenalka produk baru tetapimemberi pengalaman dan cara baru berinteraksi dengan digital.

Samsung Galaxy Gearadalah integrasi teknologi peranti pintar ke dalam kehidupan pengguna yanglebih mendalam. Ia sentiasa berhubungdengan telefon pintar yang boleh disimpan dalam poket atau beg dan penggunatidak perlu mengeluarkan telefon pintar itu untuk membuat panggilan ataumembaca notifikasi.

Notifikasi seperti e-melatau mesej baru dipaparkan pada skri 1.63 inci Samsung Galaxy Gear manakalapanggilan boleh dibuat dengan hanya mengangkat tangan kepada telinga, aksi samaseperti menggunakan telefon bimbit biasa.

Ciri S-Voice pulamembolehkan pengguna memberi arahan suara untuk tugasan seperti membuatpanggilan atau menghantar pesanan ringkas.

Selain itu, kamera 1.9megapixel pada tali jam boleh merakam gambar yang seterusnya boleh dikongsidengan mudah.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3kini mempunyai skrin lebih besar bersaiz 5.7 inci tetapi masih nipis denganukuran 8.3 mm serta lebih ringan dengan berat 168 gram berbanding model sebelumini.

Fungsi S-Pen bagiSamsung Galaxy Note 3 juga diperkasakan dan kini mempunyai lebih banyakkeupayaan berbilang tugas dengan kuasa bateri dipertingkatkan sehingga 40peratus lagi.

biasalah Samseng....takut dituduh meniru...

btw Galaxy gear ni kalau digunakan secara sendiri...takder le segah mana pun....kene berpadanan dengan Note 3 kekdahnya....so bygkanlah rega kedua2 gajet ni kalau dicampur...berapa riban dah weeeh....dekat2 RM4K gak tuh....ada ke yg nak beli dua2 gajet ni??rega Note 3 tu pun bg aku dah melampau abih....

dr satu aspek aku kagum ngan samsung dr segi pantas jd follower..... microsoft pun kalah.... sbb microsoft tak meniru.... ok nak meniru tp dgn creative la,.... rumors katanya apple takkan launch lg iwatch...... lambat lg.... n mmg btul tak perlu nak terkejar2 pun klau tak ready......

samsung gear ni bateri tahan satu hari je.... tak praktikal langsung utk jam.....

features pun tak byk...... sptutnya samsung tunggu je la bile flexible display die tu ready..... baru la design cun..... ni design alahai......

btul..... patut bljr ngan apple mcm mana apple leh create market baru...... dr first microsoft perkenal tablet dgn first ipad.... dlm 10 tahun tuh.....
dgn microsoft meneruskan kegagalan ngan surface...... sapa ntah nak pakai tablet mcm pc.... ade pointer mouse bagai....
