Mind boggling is above RM108 million maintenance costs per year. Costs
would increase from year to year due to wear and tear. So gets more
expensive. (RM108 million per year can build many many low costs
housing or schools or improve public facilities and health).
Monthly maintenance costs Petronas Twin Towers above RM 9 million a
month. Some Petronas subsidiary don't make that much profit in a year.

Petronas is NOT a private body. It is a statutory body. This means that ALL its funds belong to the nation, to you and me and to generations to come.
The issue is NOT whether it is useful in some near or distant future. The real issue that you have been skirting around, whether it was the Penang bridge, Petronas twin towers etc., was whether the funds were used in an optimal way. When large chunks of the nations'
resources were used to build for some perceived need in the future(and package it as vision), it inevitably draw away resources from areas that could perhaps be used more productively.
Until and unless you come up with the ROI as compared with other investments, your argument is spurious and only serves to mask the country's serious mismanagement of her resources.

ni kena bandingkan kos tower kat taiwan & china (tak silap) yg di buat selepas itu
or cuba ko buat kerja sikit bandingkan dgn building di Dubai yg di bina sezaman KLCC

So persoalannya kenapa boleh jadi semahal gitu ? Aku bagi satu sebab yang aku boleh fikirkan la . Contoh nak mudah faham , mana akan lebih mahal , bangunan yang di buat guna tenaga orang sendiri , atau bangunan yang di buat guna contractor luar yang mempunyai track record di antara yang terbaik di dunia ?
Tentulah contractor luar akan meletakkan harga berganda-ganda kan , lagi tinggi reputasi contractor tu maka lagi mahal lah harga yang akan di charge mereka . Ia berlaku di mana-mana, pembeli rumah akan membayar harga rumah yang cukup mahal tapi contractor yang buat rumah tu punya modal berapa lah sangat kan , jadi mana-mana contractor pun memang perangai gitu , akan letak harga yang cukup mahal walaupun kos buat rumah tu sikit aje .
