Which Top Stars Passed Up LSG's 'The King 2Hearts' Role?

Lee Seung Gi may be sitting comfortably on his throne as the crown prince Lee Jae Ha in MBC drama The King 2Hearts, but it appears he wasn’t who the producers originally had in mind for the role.
Cable channel tvN’s enews revealed on its April 17 broadcast the two top stars who passed on Lee Seung Gi’s role.
According to the entertainment news program, the producers had their hearts set on actor Lee Byung Hun for the role since the drama’s development stages. However, Lee Byung Hun, who was stateside at the time to film Hollywood action movie G.I. Joe 2, rejected the offer.
The role was then passed along to actor Won Bin, who impressed audiences with his performance in film The Man From Nowhere.
The producers had high hopes for Won Bin, who previously expressed his interest in wanting to work with The King 2Hearts director Lee Jae Kyu. However, Won Bin, who wanted his possible return to the small screen to be kept a secret until he confirmed his appearance in the drama himself, backed out when reports speculating that he had been cast in the drama surfaced.
Lee Seung Gi may be The King 2Hearts’ Prince Charming, but we wonder what the drama would have been like with Lee Byung Hun or Won Bin calling all of the shots. |

Lee Byung Hun's Storm Shadow images gaining worldwide interest

The recently revealed GI Joe: Retaliation movie stills showing actor Lee Byung Hun reprising his character Storm Shadow in unmasked images are getting increased attention from the fans and online viewers. The captures showing Storm Shadow using a gun and sword had brought about an intense action atmosphere as GI Joe online sites are getting high hits since character images of the cast are being released.
The significant casting credit given to the Korean actor alongside Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson at the official homepage of the Hollywood summer blockbuster is also creating strong excitement and anticipation by the fans that Storm Shadow will portray a bigger role in the coming sequel. |

Bruce Willis sings the praises of his 'G.I. Joe 2' co-star, Lee Byung Hun

Hollywood action film star Bruce Willis highly praised his '‘G.I. Joe 2' co-star Lee Byung Hun during a recent interview.
Bruce Willis talked about how he was cast in ‘G.I. Joe 2′ during a recent interview he conducted with MTV, and also mentioned his co-star Lee Byung Hun saying he was “so great“.
“He showed some action moves that I could never do,” Bruce Willis said in regards to Lee Byung Hun. “I can’t even call myself an action guy. This guy Byung-hun Lee [Storm Shadow] is so great. We’re going to put him in another movie, he’s so great, he’s just awesome.”
With the ‘living legend’ of Hollywood himself highly singing his praises, fans’ expectations for Lee Byung Hun’s acting skills in ‘G.I. Joe 2′ are further increasing.

Bruce Willis may be an action legend in Hollywood, but even he bows down to costar Lee Byung Hun’s impressive action acting.
The Hollywood star sat down for an interview with MTV News to talk about upcoming action film G.I. Joe: Retaliation, in which Willis stars as General Joseph B. Colton and Lee Byung Hun makes his return as villain Storm Shadow.
During the interview, Willis says, "[We′ve got] action guys that can do things that I would never. I can′t even call myself an action guy.” He then mentions Lee Byung Hun, saying, “This guy Byung Hun is so great. We′re going to put him in another movie, he′s so great. He′s just awesome.”
It appears hallyu star Lee Byung Hun isn’t just talking the talk but kicking some major ass in Hollywood, and we’re sure fans can’t wait to see him reprise his role as Storm Shadow in the upcoming film, which is set to be released on June 29. |

Bruce Willis Calls Lee Byung Hun’s Acting “So Great”

American action star Bruce Willis had some good words to say about Lee Byung Hun, his co-star in the upcoming blockbuster movie, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.”
In an interview with MTV, Willis talked about his role in the movie and the chemistry with the rest of the cast. After praising Adrianne Palicki, who plays Lady Jane in the flim, Willis lauded Lee Byung Hun’s action scenes as Storm Shadow.
“Action guys do things that I would never do. I can't even call myself an action guy," Willis said. "This guy, Byung-hun Lee, we're going to put him in another movie he's so great. He's just awesome."
Willis plays the role of Joe Colton, the original Joe who was there when it all began. Lee Byung Hun comes back as Storm Shadow, in this sequel of the original “G.I. Joe” series, which is slated for release in June. |
