'all i can add i had two emergency sections and they sucked the big one. totally awful. nightmares.
then i had one planned section and it was really wonderful. i was walking within hours, and went home sooner than some vaginal birthers i know have done. i was at the arboretum chasing my 3 kids around 5 days post partum. so i wouldn't compare an emergency section to one planned. at all. in any way. they are totally different animals.' |

'I had a schedule c-section and loved every moment of it. I knew when I was having her (well..so I thought They ended up having to take her out early due to problems, but I still had a days notice to get everything in order), I knew what time to show up at the hospital, my husband knew when to request days off, parents were able to be there, I had MY doctor and not one of his partners, etc.
I really couldn't have asked for a better day. The recovery was super easy. I was out of bed the next morning walking the halls. I went home a day earlier then my doctor had planned for. I stopped at Target on the way home and went shopping for stuff I wanted/needed. It was seriously easy. '

'My friend had an emergency c-section the first time and was horrified about the 2nd babies birth. I told her that it wouldn't be the same because everyone I know that had a planned c-section for the 2nd child has told me that (including my OB).
She didn't believe me and was stressed up until the very moment they took her in to delivery. She came out and said "Wow! That was totally different" She was up and walking within 24 hrs without pain.' |
