The director and main cast of G.I. Joe 2, the second Hollywood work of top star Lee Byung Hun, are visiting Korea.

The movie G.I .Joe 2 is an action blockbuster where the world’s special command called G.I. Joe is fighting against the organization Zartan that threatens humanity. As continued from the first series, Lee Byung Hun plays Storm Shadow. As his part in the movie became bigger, fans’ expectations went up higher. It opens in June. |

Summit Entertainment has announced that Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-Hun Lee will be joining the ensemble cast of the upcoming RED 2, set to hit theaters on August 2, 2013.
The project is being directed by Dean Parisot from a screenplay by Erich and Jon Hoeber, who wrote the script for the original RED, based in turn on a comic book by Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer.

"We can't wait to bring them back together, give them some new friends, and show they ‘still got it.’”
Zeta-Jones can soon be seen on the big screen in Rock of Ages and Lee in G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Mark Vahradian will produce the film via their DiBonaventura Pictures banner. Feig will oversee the project for the studio along with Summit Entertainment’s Senior Vice President of Production, Geoff Shaevitz. |

Extremely Dangerous.). There’s currently no word on the nature of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-Hun Lee’s respected roles, expect details regarding their characters soon.

Catherine Zeta-Jones And 'G.I. Joe' Star Byung Hun-Lee Join Original Cast For 'Red 2'
NEWS BY OLIVER LYTTELTON blogs.indiewire.com
2010's "Red" was, on paper, one of the least likely sleeper hits of the last few years: an actioner where the average age of the cast was over 60 (and that was even allowing for relative younglings Karl Urban and Mary-Louise Parker). And yet the film, based on Warren Ellis' comic book, directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren, took a very solid $200 million worldwide on a budget that didn't break the bank, and Summit have been moving ahead with a sequel ever since.
Original writer Jon and Erich Hoeber were brought back, "Galaxy Quest" and "Justified" director Dean Parisot was hired to replace Schwentke, and things have been moving along swimmingly, with a release date in August of 2013 announced a while back. And now Deadline have confirmed that the surviving members of the original principle cast will be returning, and they're bringing along a few new recruits.
The site says that Willis, Mirren, Parker and John Malkovich (who played an acid-casualty spy) have all signed on the dotted line to reprise their roles in the sequel, and will be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Korean megastar Byung Hun-Lee ("G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra" and its upcoming sequel, and "I Saw The Devil"). There's no exact details on the plot, other than that it'll involve the aged espionage agents fighting their way across Europe.
There's no word on who the new additions will be playing, but we'd bet decent money that they're villains of some kind. It's also unclear whether some of the other actors who made it through the original alive -- namely Urban, Brian Cox and Ernest Borgnine, will be back (Freeman'a character died in the original), but we're sure it'll become clear in the coming weeks. "Red 2" will be showing you pictures of its grandkids and asking you to record "N.C.I.S" on August 2nd, 2013. |

Catherine Zeta-Jones & Byung-Hun Lee Come Aboard 'RED' Sequel
by Ben Pearson firstshowing.net
Ready for another action movie featuring old people with guns? Nope, I'm not talking about The Expendables 2. Another sequel, RED 2, is gearing up for production right now, and the movie will again feature the great cast of Bruce Willis, Mary Louise-Parker, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich for more geriatric spy adventures. Now, ComingSoon has a press release from Summit Entertainment that announces the arrival of two fresh faces to the franchise. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-Hun Lee (Storm Shadow from G.I. Joe) have joined the project, injecting a bit of vitality into the over-the-hill cast.
Dean Parisot will be taking over for director Robert Schwentke on RED 2, and the story follows our veteran team of retired spies as they use their old school methods to face new enemies across Europe. No word just yet on what roles Zeta-Jones and Lee will have here, but I'm hoping they'll take over for Karl Urban this time around and play villains, again pitting the young against the old (relatively speaking). I thought the first RED, based on Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer's comic, was an interesting entry into the comic book movie subgenre and while it didn't really have much to it, I thought it provided some good escapist fun. With the same writers back on board for the sequel, chances are pretty high we'll get a sequel with the same mix of humor and action that made the first film so fun.
RED 2 arrives on August 2, 2013. |

Catherine Zeta-Jones & Byung-Hun Lee Join Cast of RED 2
By Nick Martin filmofilia.com
While we recently learned that Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot is about to take the helm of RED 2, Summit Entertainment has announced that Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-hun Lee have been cast in a sequel to the studio’s modest 2010 hit.
Brothers Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber are officially returning for the second installment; they already started writing the script last year, so those of you eager for more of Bruce Willis will be glad to hear it’s definitely coming.
John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren also back on board; Morgan Freeman isn’t returning because his character, you know, died in the first movie.
RED 2 brings back the team of Retired and Extremely Dangerous CIA operatives as they use their old-school style to take on a new set of enemies all across Europe.
Erik Feig, president of production for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said:
We had so much fun making RED and seeing that amazing cast assembled together – and so did consumers: over $200m worldwide and the No1 home entertainment rental of last year. We can’t wait to bring them back together, give them some new friends, and show they ‘still got it.’
Byung-hun Lee will next be seen reprising his role as Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, while Zeta-Jones has Rock of Ages set to arrive on June 15th and is currently filming The Bitter Pill for Steven Soderbergh.
Zeta-Jones and Byung-hun Lee join the line-up although their characters have not yet been announced.
Stay tuned. |
