This was in connection to reports that she and husband, former Senator Tito Sotto were against John lloyd as boyfriend of Ciara.
“No,no. It’s not that way. I just told John before it's better that he finished school. That’s all. BecauseI was also concerned about him. I never do that to the suitors of my children. From the eldest, i never said not this .. not that. For me, they will be the ones they'll be with."
If Helen is willing to work with John Lloyd, it's her daughter who is reluctant to work with the Box Office King, this is according to Ciara's interview. “There are no offers for them to work together, I think it depends on them.”
If ever that it's in this time that John lloyd is successful that he will court Ciara, will she be against it?
“No, no,no.It’s not that way, it's just not because he's successful. I‘m happy for JohnLloyd because he’s successful. But when it comes to personalfeelings I think I cannot answer that.”
Note: JLC and Ciara broke up at the beginning of Bea-JLC tandem.. It might be you days i think, Ciara was also part of ASAP before. Ciara Sotto is the cousin of Megastar Sharon Cuneta & Oyo Sotto ( Kristine hermosa's best guy friend). they were together for 2-3 years.

In an industry where it's not unusual to hear of teenage stars getting pregnant out of wedlock and promising actors succumbing to the call of drugs and alcohol, a scandal-free actress like Bea Alonzo is a refreshing breath of fresh air. She doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't do drugs, but she tells Marie Claire magazine in its January issue, "I'm not perfect. I'm only human. When I'm bad, I'm really, really bad."
Actions speak louder than words though, and it's clear that Bea is a very good girl. In her eight years of working in show business, she has taken it upon herself to be the family's breadwinner and clearly does not resent the role.
"It's not an obligation, but something I really choose to do because I know kailangan nila ‘yun. Di na nila kailangan sabihin kung ano ang kailangan nila. You do it because you love them," she tells MarieClaire.
"For now, being able to provide for my family for as long as I can is my mission in life. Being an actress is part of that."
She shares that, after all these years of being in showbiz, it's only recently that she's been able to enjoy the fruits of her hard work by buying some luxury bags for herself.
"Ngayon lang ako nakakabili, e," she says, "Before, I chose not to spend on bags kasi feeling ko may ‘quota' akong hinahabol for my mom. Kailangan bilhan ko muna siya ng lahat ng [gusto niya]."
While most everyone is aware of Bea's status as her family's breadwinner, not everyone knows that she devotes part of her busy schedule to the People's Recovery, Empowerment Development Assistance(PREDA) Foundation. It is an advocacy that she supports in her own quiet way.
"I don't need to announce to everyone kung ano yung ginagawa ko to help in my own way or to make a change," she points out. "I have a soft spot for kids, [especially those who] were raped, abused, or galing sa broken families. I came from a broken family, too, and it's my faith that helped me weather it. So I'm helping bring these kids back to God as well."
She is quick to add though, that this is something that she really wants to keep private, and only shares the experience with Marie Claire because of the magazine's similar commitment to advocacies and social awareness.
"I don't want people to misinterpret my actions, or to say that it's all just for show," she says, "I'd rather just be quiet about it, and talk to my friends and be an example among them."

Speaking of "I love Betty La Fea" there"s a rumor that somebody new is coming and going to join the team of the teleserye.
There will be a surprise for avid supporters of the show. It is reported that after the hit " Kahit Isang Saglit", this Asian hearthrob enters the primetime scene again as he breathes life to the character of Aldo, a beautiful man with a beautiful soul. Perfect as he seems, one thing sets this character apart from other men, he is blind.
As Betty"s hopes floats and literally brings her to a whole new world, she will cross paths with Aldo and from there, the story between them begins.
Will Betty too be blinded with this new character that will soon be revealed? Just asking..

Jericho Rosales is the new man in Betty’s life

After her bitter break up with Armando (John Lloyd Cruz), Betty (Bea Alonzo) decided to join a model-search contest so she can pay for her father’s hospital bills. But what she doesn’t know is that she is about to meet someone who will open a new chapter in her life. Enter Aldo who will be played by one of the hottest leading men in showbiz, Jericho Rosales.
The actor met with the press on January 15 to talk about his new role in I Love Betty La Fea. When asked if people will react to negatively to Aldo being the third wheel in the Betty-Armando romance, he replied,“I’m always optimistic whenever I play a character. In real life hindi ko hilig ang mang-intrude (laughs). When I play a character, ‘yun talaga ang character ko. I hope the people will love not just my character but kung paano mabubuo ‘yung situation involving the three characters. Based on what I have read and what was explained to me the character is interesting. Hindi siya kaiinisan.”
Jericho first got to work with Bea in the 2005 film Pacquiao where Echoplayed boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and Bea played Paquiao’s wife Jinky. But Echo never had the chance to get to know Bea that well during the filming which is why he now feels excited to be working with the young actress in a series. “Ibang character ang ipe-play ko at ganun din si Bea so excited ako, working with her again but different roles na. Bea is one of best leading ladies in the industry. It’s a wonderful opportunity for me to work with her again.”
The press pointed out that John Lloyd is in a relationship while Jericho and Bea are both single, with some wondering if there’s a possibility of a romance to blossom between the two. However, Jericho said that he would rather not court anyone at this time and just focus on his work. “Baka pwede kong sabihin na, ‘Will you marry me?’…sa I Love Betty La Fea (laughs). Last quarter pa lang ng 2008 nai-intriga na ako. From Carmen Soo, Anne Curtis, KC Concepcion, Karylle… Ngayon kinikilig ako in a way but it’s with the opportunities that are coming. It was a great opportunity working with these ladies. I had established a good friendship with all of them and there’s nothing wrong with that. I just came from a breakup, it was a three-year intense relationship. It wouldn’t be fair kung meron akong liligawan this time kasi baka maging rebound lang ‘yung mangyari.”
Being cast in I Love Betty La Fea also gives Echo the chance to finally work with John Lloyd. As early as now, many are looking forward to seeing the acting showdown between the two as they fight over Betty. But Jericho said he has no intention of upstaging John Lloyd in their scenes together. “Piolo (Pascual), John Lloyd, and other great actors are all in one station. I wonder why hindi kami nagkakatrabaho. I’ve been wishing and praying that I get to work with Piolo, with John Lloyd not because gusto ko ng showdown but because I want to work with good actors. I think sapawan is tiring and is just a waste of time. It’s crab mentality. I’m excited to work with John Lloyd and kung nasaan man siya ngayon I’m sure he’s very comfortable. I’m comfortable naman with my craft and kung nasaan man ako ngayon. I will never ever try to upstage anyone because I’m a team player.”

Finally, we can both see actors in one scene.. May it be a brief stint for Echo.. in preparation for his next soap with Kristine. AS Echo said, He was wondering why, they weren't able to work with each other.. when in fact ALL THE GOOD ACTORS CAME FROM ONE STATION ( you got it Echo! good looking but definitely award winning brilliant actors).

ABS-CBN contract star John Lloyd Cruz said that he believes his successful tandem with singer Sarah Geronimo is a gift.
Cruz, one of the country's bankable stars said that he and Geronimo'srapport in doing projects like their hit debut film together "A VerySpecial Love" is a gift that they are now trying to nurture.
"I believe it's a gift. It's very deep 'yung makatagpo ka ng isangkapareha in this kind of business na mayroon kayong ganoong klasengchemistry," said Cruz.
He added, "It's a gift na dapat inaalagaan, ino-nourish niyo ang magandang relationship sa isa't isa magandang pagsasama."
Cruz said that he too cannot explain their chemistry when the camera starts to roll. He just added there's something with the singer that he cannot define.
"Kapag tinitignan mo ang mata ni Sarah nagti-twinkle ang eyes niya.Kahit sinong tumingin kay Sarah makikita mo kung gaano siya kagaling naperformer specially kapag nasa stage. I'd been vocal about it. Fan akoniyan, at kapag pinapanood ko 'yan I couldn't help but be mesmerized,"he said.
Cruz is now working again with Geronimo for Star Cinema's upcoming film"You Change My Life," which is the sequel of "A Very Special Love". Hesaid that he is eager to do more projects with the country's PopPrincess. |
