Sechs Kies member Kang Sung Hoon under suspicion of fraud for second time
Former old school Sechskies member Kang Sung Hoon is under fire for suspicion of fraud once again, along with singer Park Hae Kyung.
Recently, an individual living in the Paldang region of Gyunggido filed a lawsuit against Kang Sung Hoon, demanding he repay the $90,000 he previously borrowed. Kang Sung Hoon gave the individual his foreign sports car as collateral to borrow the money. He has has yet to pay it back and is now under suspicion of fraud. It turns out that the car wasn’t even his, but rather a lease he was making payments on.
There was a similar incident back in February of this year that made headlines on major media sources Kang Sung Hoon previously rented a vehicle from a rental company and gave it to individual B as collateral to borrow some cash. The individual who lent the singer $27,000 has sued him, as he was unable to get the money back. The singer who at the time claimed that he was the victim is reportedly confining himself at home these days.

Sechskies’ Lee Jae Jin caught driving under the influence
Lee Jae Jin, a member of popular ’90s idol group Sechskies and the brother-in-law of YG Entertainment‘s Yang Hyun Suk, has been convicted of drunk driving.
On November 3rd, authorities told Newsen over the phone, “Lee Jae Jin has been indicted without detention on the charge of drunk driving, and has been sent home after the investigation.”
According to the police, Lee Jae Jin hit another car in front of a hotel in Kangnam, Seoul. His blood alcohol level was measured to be 0.087% at the time, which will result in his license being suspended.
This isn’t the first time Jae Jin has been in the headlines for breaking the law. Back in 2009, Jae Jin was charged with desertion when he failed to return to his military base after his break. By the time he was found, he was 33 days overdue for his return.
The military court ruled one-year in prison with the term suspended for two years on charges of desertion. Although the military prosecution had insisted on a 2-year imprisonment, the court ruled leniently after Lee Jae Jin cited his parents’ death during his military service.
The judge gave him a one-year jail term, which wouldn’t take effect as long as he kept up a clean record for the next two years and promised good behavior for his remaining service term.

Sechkies Lee Jae Jin Leaves the Army
by eunicec - Mar 16, 2009
Old School KPOP Sechkies member Lee Jae Jin is currently serving his military duty. However, he’s not there right now.
He was allowed to take a short sickness leave and was supposed to return on March 6th, but the military has stated that he has not reported back. The army has looked into this situation and so far there hasn’t been any clear leads. His friends and family state that they don’t know where he is.
His sister, YG Entertainment artist, Lee Eun Joo, is in shock over her missing brother.
In 2006, he requested to be placed in a game development company as a specialized engineer in the army (to serve his military duty in a cushy position) but he was rejected. He even went to court to appeal this decision and lost. As a result, he entered the regular military last year on August 25. While serving in the military, Lee Jae Jin was treated for psychiatric issues. Sounds like he’s having a hard time adjusting to his new military life. His father passed away in 2006 and his mother passed away last May, Poor Guy. Hopefully he’s found soon |

Lee Jae Jin Goes AWOL
by eunicec - Mar 25, 2009 at 10:00 pm
It has been made public that Lee Jae Jin tried to kill himself during his military service. He had slit his wrists after a disturbance back in the hospital and had also gone to a camp within the military for soldiers who’ve had a hard time adjusting or deemed to be suffering from depression. After the three day camp, he seemed to be feeling better. He even took a short vacation and returned, but not this time.
No one reported of any harassment or use of abusive language towards Lee Jae Jin. Because of his older age, everyone treated him with respect and was friendly to him, however, he chose to stay isolated and not mingle with other soldiers.
After 19 days of absence, the military will now consider Lee Jae Jin‘s missing status as desertion.
Since soldiers are not allowed to have cell phones, Lee Jae Jin‘s cell phone service was canceled before he entered the military. Also in an effort to find him, the military had considered tracing his whereabouts using his credit card history, but since he didn’t commit any “real” crime, they were not allowed to check his records.
Most likely, even if he is found, caught or returns on his own, he will have a criminal record |

Sechkies Lee Jae Jin Finally Found
by coolsmurf - Apr 8, 2009
Having gone awol from military service since 6th March, former Sechkies member Lee Jae Jin was nowhere to be found as he cut off all contact leaving everyone clueless about his whereabouts. After 33 days on the run, Lee Jae Jin was finally caught by military police investigators this afternoon at around 2.50pm in a Daegu motel. Lee Jae Jin had been granted sick leave on 2nd March but failed to return to his military barracks on the 6th. Although investigations are currently underway, he is most likely to be charged for going awol and have a criminal record against his name. At least, it’s good to know that he is safe and sound regardless |

Lee Jae Jin’s Uncertain Future
by eunicec - Apr 12, 2009
Lee Jae Jin’s sister has had a short visit with her brother, after going missing for 33 days from the Korean army without a reason. He was finally arrested on the 8th in Daegu and had met with his younger sister, Lee Eun Joo.
It’s unclear what the two siblings discussed. But it is clear that the meeting was due to the severe concern shown from a younger sister for her older brother. Military police and the agents are still continuing the investigation with results expected to be out next week.
In the meantime, punitive articles about the peace-time desertion from military service does state that, those that leave without a legitimate reason ‘will be slapped with a more than 2 years to less than 10 years of penal servitude’. This is beginning to attract a lot of attention especially with a former pop star’s future at hand.
Sounds pretty scary. Maybe he’ll get a slap on the wrist, considering his history with depression and a suicide attempt. Seems like he’s already suffered enough. |

Sechskies’ Lee Jae Jin was the artist for Big Bang’s new album
by Supermar - Apr 10, 2011
Former Sechskies member Lee Jae Jin played a part in Big Bang‘s new album.
On April 11th, a representative from YG Entertainment revealed, “In the ‘Big Bang Special Edition’ album that was released a few days ago, there were illustrations of the five members. The artist behind those sketches is none other than Sechskies’s Lee Jae Jin. Lee Jae Jin has considerable talent in drawing and animation, and he was able to exhibit his skills in this album. Lee Jae Jin’s drawings are also a great gift for Big Bang fans.”
In fact, Lee Jae Jin is planning to study animation and design in Japan. He is studying Japanese at the moment and preparing for his studies abroad.
The representative continued, “Lee Jae Jin no longer has any lingering desire to be a singer. After studying animation in Japan, he hopes to find a job [as an animator].”
An interesting fact is that Lee Jae Jin is the older brother of Sweety‘s Lee Eun Joo, who is married to YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk.
