The Holocaust (from the Greek hol髃auston from olon "completely" and kauston "burnt"), also known as Ha-Shoah (Hebrew: השואה), Khurbn (Yiddish: חורבן or Halokaust, האלאקאוסט), is the term generally used to describe the killing of approximately six million European Jews during World War II, as part of a program of deliberate extermination planned and executed by the National Socialist regime in Germany led by Adolf Hitler.[1]

Other groups were persecuted and killed by the regime, including 220,000–500,000 Sinti and Roma[2] (see Porajmos), the disabled (see Action T4), homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Soviet POWs, Polish citizens, and political prisoners.[3][4] Many scholars do not include these groups in the definition of the Holocaust (see Definition), defining it as the genocide of the Jews,[5] or what the Nazis called the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question" ("Die Endl鰏ung der Judenfrage"). Taking into account all the victims of Nazi persecution, the death toll rises considerably; estimates generally place the total number of victims at nine to 11 million.[6]

The persecution and genocide was accomplished in stages. Legislation to remove the Jews from civil society was enacted years before the outbreak of World War II. Where the Third Reich conquered new territory in eastern Europe and Russia, ghettos were established to contain and marginalize Jewish communities. Specialized units called Einsatzgruppen murdered large numbers of Jews and political opponents in mass shootings and mobile gassing units. In countries occupied by the Nazis, Jews were interned before being deported to death camps, often crammed into freight cars and transported hundreds of miles by rail, then killed in gas chambers.

Bagi aku holocaust tu betul berlaku...itu jadinya bila satu bangsa tu tak mempunyai kuasa atas tanahair sendiri dan terpaksa mengadu nasib di negeri orang yang belum tentu suka kaum tu.

Masalahnya Israel guna alasan Holocaust untuk bertindak kejam ganas brutal macam setan ke atas negara jajahannya...dan sebab holocaust negara Barat segan nak bedal Israel....

The Krakow ghetto "liquidation" scene was only a page of action in the script, but Steven Spielberg turned it into 20 pages and 20 minutes of screen action "based on living witness testimony". For example, the scene in which the young man escapes capture by German soldiers by telling them he was ordered to clear the luggage from the street was taken directly from a survivor's story.

Director Steven Spielberg was unable to get permission to film inside Auschwitz, so the scenes of the death camp were actually filmed outside the gates on a set constructed in a mirror image of the real location on the other side.

When Oskar Schindler kisses the Jewish woman at his birthday party, his hands jump from her shoulders to her face, possibly a deliberate continuity error, designed to highlight the intimacy (or otherwise) of the moment.
In October 1980, author Thomas Keneally was on his way back to Australia after a book signing when he stopped en route to the airport to buy a new briefcase in a Beverly Hills luggage shop owned by Leopold Pfefferberg - who had been one of the 1200 saved by Schindler. In the 50 minutes Keneally spent waiting for his credit card payment to clear, Pfefferberg persuaded him to go to the back room where the shopkeeper kept two cabinets filled with documents he had collected. Pfefferberg - who had told his story to every writer and producer who ever came into his store - eventually wore down Keneally's reluctance, and the writer chose to make the story into his next book.

cuba cari artikel pasai ni yg tak pro-barat. Sebenarnya tak byk bukti yg menunjukkan holocaust, yg byk cuma crite mulut ke mulut. Mmg ada gambar pembunuhan tp tak se byk yg didakwa. Malah tapak2 yg kononnye kubur masa holocaust pun takde bukti ada nye mayat disitu

Macam aku kata..holocaust ni betul berlaku...aku dah pergi kem Auschwitz tu....

Dan macam aku kata, sepertimana bala yang diturunkan Allah kepada Bani Israel perlu dijadikan iktibar kepada kita, sama juga dengan holocaust yang bagi aku bencana yang diturunkan Allah kepada Bani Israel abad ke-20 lepas. Itu juga boleh berlaku (mungkin dah berlaku macam di Balkan?) kepada kita umat Islam kalau kita lemah.

Dan macam aku kata, Israel menggunakan alasan 'mereka sudah ditindas sebelumnya dan tak mau ditindas lagi' sebagai alasan menghalalkan keganasan mereka. Dan Barat merasa mereka ada hutang dengan Yahudi sebab tak halang Holocaust dari berlangsung, dengan itu mereka membiarkan Israel bertindak sesuka hati

Jadi sebaik2nya kita ambil iktibar atas Holocaust agar tidak terjadi Holocaust ke atas Islam pula...jangan kita hanya berkokok mengatakan 'Itu Semua Propaganda Yahudi!' Dan honestly, bagi aku Presiden Ahmadinejad hanyalah seorang pemimpin yang suka beretorik sahaja....

Pembunuhan beramai-ramai tak kesah la latar-belakang agama apa sekali pun adalah tak patot.. Dalam holocaust, bayi,budak kecik, pompuan,lelaki, malah orang tua , asalkan orang yahudi jek Nazi akan gas dan kemudian bakar mereka. Aku rase, kalo tak disebabkan holocaust nih, takkan wujud negara haram Israel tuh.

yup correct figure~ for me I view the holocaust in a humanitarian view, bukan sal Agama

Yup.. sbb hitler seorang yang anti-komunis.. tapi yang peliknyer, masa awal2 WW2, hitler boleh geng lak ngan stalin, even boleh sama-sama serang Poland
