Batu Bersurat Terengganu : The Evidence of Jawi & Islamisation of the Malay World
with Muhiyuddin AlAttas
8.30pm, Mon, 29th Jul 2019, Mukha Cafe, TTDI KL
.
Dated back in the early 13th century before the arrival of Parameswara in Melaka, 150 years before the Ottomans entered Turkey and few centuries before the Galileo trial. This artefact tells the story of the life of people at that era and the islamic principals. It is written in classical malay (jawi script) with some sanskrit terms. Let's discuss the significance of this proof with our cultural, intellectual and scientific achievements in this region.
