Urmmm, this one is a song in Bengali (Bangla). I'm so sorry if I can't translate the title. It's from the movie "Bhul Bhulaiya" which means more or less, "The Callings." I guess this movie is like the duplicate of Chandramukhi if you had watched that Tamil movie. There is also another version of the movie in Malayalam. Sorry, I can't get the singer too....
Hi...... long time I hadn't check this thread.... Glad presenting this song to you..... This song is from SWAT, it is actually a valley in NWFP (North West Frontier Province of Pakistan) and it is among beautiful places in the world...... And the song tells us about the Zilzala (earthquake) that happened in Baalakot (Fort of the Young Man).
if you notice this, those Pakistani in Malaysia selling carpets are actually from SWAT. Their ethnicity is Pashtun and they speak Patthan language. It is a sub-language under Irani languages and actually different than Urdu, Punjabi or Hindi which are almost the same to each other. The singer voice sounds a little like the voice of that person who sing Mohabbatein.
song: pukaar (calling)
artist: rahim shah
lyrics
Chalo hum dard baantein
(Let us talk about pain) Chalo hum pyaar baantein...
(Let us talk about love)
Chalo hum dard baantein
(Let us talk about pain) Chalo hum pyaar baantein
(Let us talk about love) Chalo hum dard baantein
(Let us talk about pain) Chalo hum pyaar baantein
(Let us talk about love) Girani hai...
(The demolition...) Girani hai humein saazish ki yeh deewaar kaatein..
(The demolition that we were tricked of the walls crossing)
Pukaar de chalay hum
(Let us after the calling)
Pukaar de chalay
(Let us when the calling is given) Pukaar de chalay hum
(Let us after the calling is given) Pukaar de chalay
(Let us after the calling is given) Pukaar de chalay hum
(Let us answer the calling is given) Pukaar de chalay
(Let us with the calling is given)
Pushto translation words by the singer:
Oh my sweet mother, wipe your tears away Oh my sister You will once again play in your home, the heaven that is Swat
Phir se khilein ge phool.. phir se yeh kaliyan
(Then the flowers blossoming.... but then it turns out to be dark) Phir se basein ge ghar, ghar meri galiyan
(Then, dwelling in the alley of the house, the alleys of my house) Phir se basein ge ghar meri galiyan
(Then from the house, my alleys) Ghar meri galiyan...
(House which is my alleys)
Pushto translation into English, I dunno what he mumbles about........
My children i know that you want an education But don't worry you will once again study and rise this country's name with pride - Pakistan's name
Haath na chootay aansoon na tootay
(Hands not being hold, tears not being wept when it burst)
Tanha nahin ho saath tumharay
(Desire no, when together with you) Saath tumharay dard ghari mein
(together with your side, painful in the house of mine)
Qaum kari hai...
(Nation's action)
Jhukna nahin hai ghirna nahin hai
(Not to kneel, not to fall) Chaltay hee rehna takna nahin hai
(Let us not to stay, not to stare)
Phir se milein ge khwaab humaray
(Till then, we meet again in our dream) Phir se milein ge...
(Till then, we meet again)
Chalo hum dard baantein
(Let us talk about the pain) Chalo hum pyaar baantein
(Let us talk about love) Chalo hum dard baantein
(Let us talk about pain) Chalo hum pyaar baantein
(Let us talk about love) Girani hai.....
(it is the demolition) Girani hai humein saazish ki yeh deewaar kaatein..
(the demolition that we were tricked by the walls crossing)
Pukaar de chalay hum Pukaar de chalay Pukaar de chalay hum Pukaar de chalay Pukaar de chalay hum Pukaar de chalay
Pukaar de chalay hum Pukaar de chalay
Pukaar actually is the equivalent of teriak memanggil sesuatu in Malay. I hope this could help Urdu enthusiasists here although my translation would be quite foggy because the language tht the singer used is quite poetic and crazy. I use to speak Urdu regularly but I'm bad in translating it because I never switch to Malay or English when talking in it..... Happy holiday.
