Sarawak has recorded 135 new cases and 1 death

Deepest condolences to the family of the victim:

A local male, 73, found unconscious at home on Jan 29, sent to emergency but pronounced death, tested positive, had fever & cough for 3 days, suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and dyslipidemia.

135 new positive cases in Sarawak :

Sibu (47), 22 active case detection, 17 Cluster Pasai, 5 symptomatic screening, 3 hospital staff,
Miri (32), 12 Cluster Rakut, 11 active case detection, 8 symptomatic screening,1 Cluster Pasai  
Bintulu (15), 7 active case detection,4 Cluster Rakut, 2 Import B from Kedah, 1 symptomatic screening, 1 others  
Bau (11), Cluster Tabong
Song (7), Cluster Pasai
Subis (7), self-screening in high risk areas
Kuching (5), 2 active case detection, 2 Import B from Kuala Lumpur, 1 Import C from Sibu
Kanowit (4), Cluster Pasai
Lundu (3), Cluster Pasai
Serian (2), 1 Cluster Bedayan, 1 active case detection
Sebauh (1), Cluster Bukit Sekubong
Sri Aman (1), symptomatic screening

KUCHING (Jan 31): Kapit and Song will be placed under the Movement Control Order (MCO) for two weeks from Feb 2 to Feb 15, announced the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today.

“SDCM has had a meeting which decided that MCO will be enforced in Kapit and Song from 12.01am Feb 2 to 11.59pm Feb 15, for 14 days,” said SDMC in its daily update statement.

Based on the statement, seven new Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Song today.

Presently, the status of Kapit remains as an orange zone given that along with Sarikei, Subis and Betong districts, they recorded a total of 120 local transmission cases in the last 14 days.

Meanwhile, SDMC said the police have issued a total of 13 compound notices to individuals who had flouted the standard operating procedures (SOP).

It added that seven of the compound notices were issued in Miri followed by four in Sibu and two in Padawan.

The total number of active cases that still get treatment and isolated in PKRC and hospital ward according to referral hospital is as many as 1,703 people where:

• 994 cases under Sibu Hospital;
• 293 cases under Miri Hospital;
• 171 cases under Sarawak General Hospital;
• 121 cases under Bintulu Hospital;
• 93 cases under Kapit Hospital (PKRC Kapit);
• 26 cases in Sarikei Hospital;
• 4 cases in Limbang Hospital; and
• 1 cases in PKRC Sipitang, Sabah.

Daerah Bintulu (15 Kes)

a) 7 kes merupakan individu yang disaring melalui pengesanan kes secara aktif kontak kepada kes positif COVID-19.
b) 4 kes yang melibatkan kluster Rakut.
c) 2 kes saringan individu balik dari kawasan berisiko tinggi jangkitan COVID-19 melibatkan warga tempatan (Sarawak).
Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes Import B iaitu mendapat jangkitan dari Kedah.
d) 1 kes saringan COVID-19 melibatkan individu bergejala di pusat kesihatan di Daerah Bintulu.
e) 1 kes lain-lain saringan COVID-19 yang hadir ke pusat kesihatan di Daerah Bintulu.
