What is Logic??

This is a very simple question but there is no simple answer as Bertrand Russel says " A philosopher will argue a very simple everyday word ,which we take for granted, and argued over it until no one can believe it "
Started by Aristotle as a mental deductive methodology. It still holds after 2000 years later. Fantastic eh!
Begins with simple statement:

Thamrong is a boy
boy must be male
Therefore Thamrong is male

Logic means, simply the art and method of correct thinking. It is the method of every science, of many discipline, art and music. It a science because to a considerable extant the processes of correct thinking can be reduced to a set of rules like physics and mathematics. Aristotle original thought and today the theory stood firm unshakeable. Earlier Greek intellect was undisciplined and choatic until the arrival of Aristotle ruthless formula providing the test and the method.

if we have a set of ideas and then it is being proved scientifically or physically, can it be rationale?

The study of logic disappeared for a while when emperor Justinian close all philosophy school in the Hellenic world, including one in Alexanderia,Egypt. Europe fell into dark age

for the next 700 years.When the Muslims took over the philosophy school in Syria (which run by the Nestronian monks) in the 7th century they preserved the school and many Muslim scholar studied Greek philosophy including logic.
