Thinking of a better tommorow...

Daily, people would wanna think of a better future, a better tomorrow. And they say, when u walk forward, don't look back - keep on going straight for if you keep on turning and looking back, you'll either go slow on ur path for tomorrow, OR you could just never go anywhere.

BUT...

Wouldn't you agree that if we don't look back at the past, seeing our mistakes, and learning from it, preventing it from ever happening again, then, there won't be any great tomorrow let alone a brighter future, yes?

I think it is so confusing, mixing thoughts and ideas.

Like, you want a greater tomorrow, tapi you can't look back - habis, how la to learn from the past, kan?

Anyone wants to comment on this? Tetiber I feel sentap pulak thinking about this mixed thoughts nih! Hmmm....

the past does not exist, the future does not exist except as as firing neutron in our brain.

we can learn from the past. but we don't have to keep digging the past, fretting over it and making ourselves miserables.

agreed that we have to looking forward and we should think of a better future and also a better tomorrow.

but for me, we...as human (and muslim) still have to keep on turning and looking back..as a muhasabah from our past/mistakes.

few years ago, when i was young(er), i was always proud that i have very few regrets with my life. However, i always wished that i have done things differently. Especially things that i thought i could do better. Somehow it struck me that the was no way i could continue to live with the remaining regrets that i got. So i turned the time back to 10 years before. Something like that.

What i did was i take some moment off for myself and wonder if i were to live the way i do, where it would take me in 10 years time? I had a good careful thoughts of the best and worst case scenario. then i open my eyes, i got back 10 years ago and i have a good chance to make my life better then the ones i thought of. I'm proud to say that i am ahead of schedule and i am very confident that i'd be better that i thought i would be. And the best thing? I have no regrets. None.

One has to make changes for all the negativities he/ she has done in the past for a better tomorrow.
The past is an experience, future is a goal.

for me personally...

past is what we are made of....mistakes, memories, etc....

we are where we are now b coz of our past...it made us stronger, wiser, bolder...
even it made us taller @ fatter

whether we look back to our past or not...it is always with us no matter what...
the thought of our past never leaves us..
no matter what u do, somehow some past events might just pop up in ur mind and u wont even realise it..

theres no way u can live without looking back at ur past :victory:

What use is relieving all the past exoerience over and over.

One should look back BUT leap forward.. .....

What does it mean? It means that the past is for remembering but not for living.
There is a saying ,

The past teaches us,
The present tests us,
The future rewards us.

We look back to study the core values that have taken us to the level of success or failure
we have achieved but not wallow over bygone failures or try to re-live past glories. As we
venture into the new millinium, we must realise that methods do change but the values that
supported past successes like working hard, caring, loving etc hardly change.

By looking forward we mean to take upon new opportunities.
