James Bond back in service with Daniel Craig, Nov. 2012 release date

James Bond’s vacation is over. After the financial wrangling over the fate of MGM led the family that produces the 007 films to halt development of their 23rd installment last year, the project is back on track with plans for a Nov. 9, 2012 release date, MGM confirms to EW. (Deadline first reported the story.)

Daniel Craig will return for his third run as the superspy. What was more in question was whether Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, who had been attached to the movie before it was put on hiatus, would still be participating.

Ralph Fiennes Rumoured To Be Joining Cast Of Bond 23

He’s played some dastardly characters from Amon Goeth to Lord Voldemort but now British actor Ralph Fiennes is reportedly set for a role in the latest James Bond film which should leave a lot of Bond fans shaken and stirred.

According to the Guardian reporting from a Daily Mail article, columnist Baz Bamigboye believes that Fiennes is being approached by director Sam Mendes for a part in the film that ultimately wouldn’t mean a villain role but one that is complex.

Bamigboye gave a brief statement about the prospect of Fiennes’ involvement in the franchise.

“It’s the first of a new generation of Bond films, and the ideas Mendes has, push the film into darker territory where the characters are modern, mature and challenging, and that Fiennes’s role is one of extreme complexity and only an actor of great ability and dexterity can take it on »
