Observant Hindus who do eat meat almost always abstain from beef. The cow in Hindu society is traditionally identified as a caretaker and a maternal figure, and Hindu society honors the cow as a symbol of unselfish giving.

Cow-slaughter is legally banned in almost all states of India

Correct. Not all Indians are Hindus and some do eat meat (including beef). Especially those who are Indian Muslims and (some) Indian Christians. Hinduism does not promote eating of non-vegetarian food (due to its influence on the Mind and Body) but some Hindus do eat meat (probably due to influence of other races or the lack of vegetarian food source).

It is my opinion, we should all slowly start toward vegetarian dietary - it is good for the Body, Mind and Soul and it is more kind to animals as well as the Planet in general.

Tak ada sebarang kesalahan mengenai nama thread ini. Forumer yg menbuka thread ini nak tanya akan pendapat orang Hindu (secara lanjut) mengenai (daging) khinzir (samada orang Hindu boleh makan ke atau tidak dan kenapa). Kami di sini sudahpun menjawab dan forumer sudah puas dgn jawapan kami.

Aiyah ... Don't go offtopic lah. I never bothered about what they could say about me and you should not either. Just concentrate in your attempt to show what Hinduism is (in your own way) and I will do it in my own way. IF they have problem with me, they can always PM me and I will ignore them also. Lebih lanjut, penganut agama Hindu tidak memakan daging khinzir disebabkan Dewa Varaaham atau Dewi Varahi yang diumpakan dengan keadaan figura yang menyerupai khinzir, bagi menghormati Dewa Dewi tersebut, kami tidak memakan binatang tersebut. Daging haiwan ini juga bersih dari segi pemakanannya. Khinzir ada pelbagai jenis, pemakan bangkai,vegetarian dan sebagainya. Dewi ini menyerupai khinzir yang vegetarian (ubi sahaja) dan yang bersih. Itu dari segi orang dahulu tidak sanggup membunuh haiwan ini dengan tujuan menjadikannya sebagai makanan.
Lagi satu, apabila seseorang yang beragama Hindu telah memakan daging tersebut atau apa-apa yang mengandungi kandungan sel haiwan tersebut perlu mandi dengan air kunyit-saintifik anti biotic, untuk menyucikan diri dengan kata lain membasmi kumannya.
