Penganut agama Hindu perlu menindik telinga!

Terima kasih.

Ooi ... what the hell are you taking about here? I have not seen a single proof to your claims (in this thread or any other thread). It is like a mad man raving as he sees fit.

What you are doing has NOTHING to do with Hinduism. Take your nonsense elsewhere.

Karnaveda Samskara – The Ear Piercing Ceremony of Hindus

Karnaveda samskara is one of the sixteen sacraments (Shodhasa Samskaras) observed in Hindus. This is performed for a child in third or fifth year while some perform it in later years. In Hindu tradition, a pierced ear as a sign of how cultured the family is. This ritual is performed for both girls and boys. The girls retain the holes for wearing studs, while the boys gradually lose them.

The Philosophy: Karnavedha” samskara comes from ancient times. It is mentioned in books such as Baudhayana Grihya Sesa Sutra, Samskaraprkasa and Grihyaparisista. According to Susruta, the ancient book of health and longevity, the ear piercing protects the child from several diseases and it prevents hydrocele and harnia. Some take it as a scientific way while some say that the pierced ears help off evil.

Karnavedha has become a religious attire and in some Hindu communities not doing it is regarded as sin. According to a medieval Hindu writer, “ All the accumulated merits get diminished by the sight of a Brahmana whose ears are not pierced and no gifts should be given to such a Brahmana. Sraddha ceremony should not be performed by the Brahmana whose ears are not pierced and no ceremony charity should be given and if one gives, he would become demon in the next birth.”

Although it not clear how important Karnaveda is, but it is observed in all Hindu communities.

The Rituals and Ceremonies: Karnavedha Samskara is performed on a holy day fixed after astrological calculations. It is held either in a temple or in home. The child is given a purificatory bath and is dressed in new clothes and ornaments. The “Guru” of the family is called and a surgeon is also invited.

Right at the auspicious time, the right ear of the child is pierced first followed by the left one. In some customs if the child is girl then left ear is pierced first. Priest chants the holy verses from the scriptures. He whispers some mantras in the ear of the child and prays for the child bright future. Following this a thin wire is inserted into the holes to prevent from closing and ointments are applied to heal the wound. After the ceremony Brahmanas are fed and charity is given.
