Nope, I took that picture outside a shopping mall in Bangalore. It is very well made situated near the entrance of the mall.

I have seen pictures of Lord Ganesha in many places, especially in front of Hindu homes. I guess Lord Ganesha is an aspious character to look at when entering someone's home (or in this case, business place).

From Hinduism point of view, Lord Ganesha is an important God because He was the one who wrote the Mahabratha Epic (which consist of Bhavagad Gita as well), thus a link between Vaishnavism and Saivism. Unfortunately, both sects have forgotten this fact and fought for the control over the people (of India) for many ages.
