i am currently a medical student
i dunno  if any one can provide me the date on prevalence of intestinal metaplasia of stomach and oesophagus in
malaysia
i really need these datas to count the sample size of my research project
i already tried d public heathe department and ministry of health website but couldn't find

Metaplasia is defined as the transformation of one type of one mature differentiated cell type into another mature differentiated cell type, as an adaptive response to some insult or injury.  By such a change in differentiation (and hence patterns of gene expression) the cells are more resistant to the effects of the insult.  It is usually a reversible phenomenon.

what is yr research topic dik oi?
you can always search in medline/proquest/.. st google pun bagus..
if you want to calculate sample size.. there's a good website on that.. i dont have that on me rite now.. try google sample size search.. kalau tak dapat pm me.. ok!

my research topic is "diagnostic utility of special stains on gastric and oesophageal biopsies"
i actually need to find the prevalence of h.pylori gastritis in malaysia as well

i think i need the prevalence of those disease first means the statistic of those disease in malaysia in order to determine my sample size ler
