one of my Indian friends her in UK invited me to his Vishu celebration.....
it might not celebrated by tamils in msia.....
it is celebrated by the peoples in kerala, India.........
just want to share with Indians here the festive............
The day, 15 April, holds special importance to the
people of Kerala since Vishu heralds the Malayalee New
Year. Vishu is the first day in the first Malayalam
month of Medam. Though it is the ninth month in the
new calendar, astrologers continue to follow the older
one and thus consider the first day of Medam to be the
New Year Day
"Vishu Kani"
Falls on the first day of Malayalam month Medam
(April), which is the astronomical New Year Day when
the sun crosses the equator.

Nice information on Lord Vishnu... I think no need new thread for Vishnu, we can proceed with this thread to know about Lord Vishnu. Dedicated for devotees of Lord Vishnu. Shree Vishnu Sahasranam (1000 Names of Lord Vishnu).
You may download, listen at suitable times and give credit to downloaders too.
Mod, kalau rajin please merge with Shri Krishna thread yea. Be proud with tradition and dharmm, don't listen to people talking evil things. They don't know what they're talking about! Also to Tamil friends, I always found some friend of mine of Tamil descent feel shy with Tamil language, why??? Many people admire your high literature and some of you people feel ashamed of it? Tamil had been used alongside Sanskrit since thousands of years when Western civilization is still in the cave. Be proud with it and I am not a Tamil to begin with. Tamil is a pure language it deserves admiration and should be spread and taught in all Hindus' lands.
