Dua gambar menunjukkan sosok seperti hantu itu menjadi tular selepas dirakam di Kompleks Kastam, Imigresen dan Kuarantin di Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI), Johor Bahru, Johor.


Dalam salah satu gambar, dapat dilihat kelibat entiti berwarna putih yang didakwa pontianak berambut panjang itu berdiri berhampiran kasau (bumbung) sambil memandang ke bawah di Sistem Kawalan Sempadan Automatik atau dikenali sebagai M-BIKE untuk Penunggang Motosikal Warganegara Malaysia.

Dalam gambar kedua, entiti itu kelihatan hanya berdiri di sebelah salah satu kaunter Imigresen Malaysia di dalam bangunan BSI.


Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kerja Raya, Pengangkutan dan Infrastruktur Negeri Johor Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh berkata dia tidak pernah bertemu hantu sepanjang lawatan dan pemeriksaan berterusannya di BSI sebelum ini.


“Saya sudah agak kerap ke BSI. Setakat ini, saya tidak pernah melihat figura hantu berkeliaran di kawasan itu.


“Sekali pun ada hantu, operasi di BSI tidak terjejas dan agak lancar.


“Malah, jumlah pengguna yang menggunakan BSI hampir mencecah jumlah ketika pra-Covid-19 yang mana ia cukup baik untuk ekonomi kita,” katanya kepada The Star.


Sementara itu, Pengarah Jabatan Imigresen negeri, Baharuddin Tahir berkata sukar untuk membuktikan sama ada wujud penunggu di BSI.


Tambahnya, setakat ini, tiada sebarang laporan daripada pegawai dan kakitangan jabatan di BSI bahawa mereka telah menemui sebarang kelibat atau hantu.


Untuk rekod, Causeway, yang dikenali sebagai lintasan sempadan paling sibuk di dunia, siap secara rasmi pada tahun 1924.
