London: Inggris memperingati masa pemerintahan ke-60  Ratu Elizabeth II. Perayaan yang berlangsung di Kastil Windsor, London,  Ahad (13/5), itu Ratu bersama suaminya, Pangeran Philip, berada dalam  sebuah kereta kuda dan berkeliling kastil disambut sorak sorai bahagia  para warganya.

Laman NHK, Isnin (14/5), melansir perayaan besar tersebut  dilangsungkan selama empat hari hingga Ahad. Acara ini menampilkan  pertunjukan para penyanyi dan penari dari negara-negara yang telah  dikunjungi Ratu selama masa pemerintahannya.

Selain itu, foto-foto Ratu saat berkunjung ke luar negeri juga  diperlihatkan melalui sebuah projekter pada layar besar. Tak ketinggalan, penyanyi Susan Boyle juga tampil dalam acara tersebut sebagai  perwakilan dari Inggris.

Diusianya yang telah menginjak 86 tahun, Ratu Elizabeth merupakan  pemimpin Inggris tertua dan kedua terlama setelah Ratu Victoria.  Sebelumnya, Ratu Victoria memerintah Inggris selama hampir 64 tahun pada  sekitar 19 abad. Kabarnya peringatan 60 tahun masa pemerintahan Ratu  Elizabeth II, Diamond Jubilee, yang berlangsung selama akhir minggu itu  akan diperpanjang pada 2 hingga 5 Juni.

Sementara itu, Ratu dan suaminya juga akan menjadi tuan rumah untuk  acara jamuan makan siang di Windsor Castle pada 18 Mei mendatang. Acara  ini akan dihadiri oleh Kaisar dan Permaisuri Jepun serta pemimpin dunia lainnya.
