Killings and Violence Care Solidarity Group in Papua held a protest in front of the Governor of East Java house, Grahadi Building, Surabaya, Indonesia. They criticized the statement of Indonesia President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Chief of Police Affairs, and the Parliament that worsened the situation in Papua and condemn the public deceit committed by Indonesia state officials. The demonstrators demanded the Indonesia Government should be responsible for any killings and violence in Papua, stop stigmatization and scapegoating people of Papua that are considered as the source of violence, open negotiations to resolve the security problems in Papua, an opportunity to foreign journalists and international human rights defenders for an investigation in Papua, and to fully investigate who shooting dozens of native Papuans and a German citizen, Dr. Diatmar Helmut Pieper (55) who was killed at Base G Beach, Jayapura on May 29, 2012.
