cross flow filtration & Acid Value Measurement [merged windmill]

kat sini ada tak yang mahir atau tahu pasal cross flow filtration?
apa significant antara micro filtration dan ultrafiltration, selain saiz membrane yang berbeza?

sedikit info:
Micro filtration is a process for separating material of colloidal size and larger from true solution by using a membrane. The micro filters membrane pore size in the range of 0.1 - 10µm. A micro filtration membrane is generally porous enough to pass molecules which are in true solution, and also can be used to sterilize solutions since they may be prepared with pores smaller than 0.3µm, the diameter of the smallest bacterium, Pseudomonas diminuta.

Ultra filtration is a membrane process with the ability to separate molecules in solution on the basis of size. An ultra filtration membrane acts as a selective barrier which it will retain species with molecular weights higher than a few thousand Daltons (macrosolutes), while freely passing small molecules (microsolutes and solvents).

tatau nak tanya kat mana....

ada sesapa tau tak cara nak test acid value selain titration guna KOH?
mill ada solution nak check tapi warna dia gelap so kalau letak phenolphatalein susah nak detect beza warna dia
anybody tau alternative method nak check?
ada contact tak independant lab yg accept buat analysis nie....

ASTM D974 - Manual titration utk acid & base number......tp dark solution x bleh guna method nih......the best way is autotitration (end-point by beza upaya....), lab aku boleh buat, tapi solution kau tu minyak ke..atau bukan minyak?

maksudnya u nak tahu pH acid tu atau concentration?

if concentration, in industry field,selalunya solid content test akan dijalankan..

benda ni mechanism dia mcm filter biasa..

cuma ia dipanggil micro filtration kerana dia punya capability utk menapis foreign material bersaiz micro di dalam satu solution..
capability dia utk menps foreign matter tu bergantung kepada pore size of the membrane laa..ada byk range size yg boleh kita pilih,..

teknologi penapisan membrane ni byk digunakan dlm industri skrg,contohnya dlm rawatan air di industri..

Acid Value tu unit dia: mgKOH/g

maksud: Jumlah KOH yg diperlukan utk neutralize 1 g sample (lagi tinggi amount KOH bermakna sample tu mmg acidic....)

skrg ni salah satu teknologi yg baru dari taiwan ialah gunakan micro membrane ni di wastewater treatment plant industry..

micro membrane ni akan digunakan di final discharge of the wastewater treatment plant..funsi dia lebih kepada utk memerangkap floating or suspended solid yg ada potensi utk jadi kan final discharge out from STD A or B..

th advantage of the new technology ni ialah pores di tak plug up..coz dia ada mekanisme back wash utk bersihkan material yg tersumbat kat pores..

btw,nanti saya dah buat test di wastewater treatment plant,saya update lagi ttg technology ni..
