"Nothing is going to happen. That was our first thought and we went to bed. Just before midnight the winds came like hundreds of demons. Our small hut was swept away like a piece of paper, and we all ran for shelter," said Mridha, a 45-year-old farm worker, weeping.

On the way to a shelter, Mridha was separated from his wife, mother and two children. The next morning he found their bodies stuck in a battered bush along the coast.

The coast abounded with such grim tales following Tropical Cyclone Sidr

teruk sangat muntz... tadi aku tengok tv cerite pasal kat bangla ni.. ish kesian..dah la yang kene tu orang2 miskin.. ( aku rase kat bangla ni 90% miskin agaknye ) ye la kalau bencana tengok miskin2 je yang teruk.. plus.. rumah2 ala2 kayu dan atap nipah habis teruk musnah..

tapi aku heran kenapa diorang masih nak duduk kat delta ganges.. tiap2 tahun delta tu berubah bentuk.. bah punya pasal.  Aku ada baca artikel kata diorang tahu the danger duduk kat delta ganges tu tapi nak buat camna.. area tu je yang subur untuk tanam2an... so nekad je la.. kalau sempat selamat kan diri, selamatlah, kalau tak.. kira  ajal lah.  Gambar bah di Bangladesh memang mengerikan.. kalau tengok from aerial view.. nampak banyak bintat2 kecil kat tepi tebing.. sekali zoom tengok semua mayat orang..
