kalo armored vehicles, sebarang peningkatan berat akan memberikan impak pada daya mobiliti kenderaan dan memendekkan usia powerpacknya (enjin, transmisi dan suspensinya sekali).

Rooikat wa tara setuju sebab Rooikat bukannya APC tapi wheeled AFV. Dan dia tak reti berenang...
Pandur II nih wa kureng berkenan sebabnya ada pilihan yang lebih baek. lagipon kompeni Steyr-Daimler-Puch Spezialfahrzeuge ni dimiliki oleh General Dynamics Land System (sama la dengan Mowag). jadinya nak beli Pandur II ni kena mintak kebenaran pokcik sam dan kita mungkin boleh diembargo oleh Kongress US pada bila2 masa kalo kita enggan ikut cakap dia (kalo 8 bijik pesawat pejuang tersadai sebab spares kena embargo pon kita akan terasa pedihnya, inikan pulak 300++ APC tersadai oleh sebab yang sama.) beli APC nih (atau Mowag Piranha) will certainly appease pokcik sam (dan sedara mara dia pon will be extremely pleased ) |

Kalau negara arab embargo minyak..reti pulak dia marah kan...tapi diorang selamba je..nasib baik tuhan tak bagi kekayaan sumber minyak pada depa ni..kalau dak pakai kereta lembu la kita..asyik asyik kena ambargo je....tapi negara negara islam masih tak paham paham gak kan.... |

KUALA LUMPUR: Contrary to the statements by the Defence Minister recently that RMAF Fuclrums will be retired soon, these jets are expected to remain in service for at least another two years. In fact, the PAT in his Armed Forces Day interview told the press that RMAF is conducting a mid-life review of the fleet. The service lives of these Fulcrums could be extended further, Malaysian Defence is informed, if the Government funded their SLEP which will see them flying at least until 2017.
So why is the Fulcrum being targeted for retirement when it remained serviceable? Its the high cost of maintenance as mentioned in our earlier postings. But there is more too that.

So, mana dtgnya citer kata gomen mau upgrade itu MiGs? pastuh tgk huraian nomot 3. camner gomen mau kasik duit sedangkan Datuk Zahid suda umum mau retire itu MiGs? |

Some things worth upgrading... some things not... Tapi interesting blog tu salahkan "Jerung Perkasa" on the escalating price of spare parts for the MiG's, walaupun kelembaban supply dari MiG sendiri turut menyumbang kepada masalah parts.
Better buy the Gripens to replace the MiG's hehehe |
