Rebel leader agrees to hand over remains and black boxes
Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak says Alexander Borodai, a rebel leader, has spoken with him and agreed to hand over both MH17 black boxes and remains of 282 bodies, Kate Hodal reports from Kuala Lumpur.
Razak told reporters that he has made personal contact with rebel leader Alexander Borodai, who has agreed to both hand over the black boxes to Malaysian authorities and send the remains of 282 bodies to Kharkiv, and then on to the Netherlands.
"The remains of 282 people, currently in Torez, will be moved by train to Kharkiv, where they will be handed over to representatives from the Netherlands," he said.
"The train will depart this evening Ukraine time, and will be accompanied by six Malaysian members of the recovery team. The remains will then be flown to Amsterdam on board a Dutch C130 Hercules, together with the Malaysian team.
"Following any necessary forensic work, the remains of Malaysian citizens will then be flown home to Malaysia."
Even though this agreement had been made with the rebels, Najib stressed that a "number of steps" still had to be taken in order for the required work to be completed. The rebels had agreed to ensure that "continued cooperation" between all relevant parties took place.
Even though it was clear that Malaysia was gravely upset over the way the investigation had so far been handled, Najib said it was up to the government to promote peace and calm in order to get things done and that he hoped these developments would a step in the right direction.
"In recent days, there were times I wanted to give greater voice to the anger and grief that the Malaysian people feel. And that I feel. But sometimes, we must work quietly in the service of a better outcome."

i feel sorry for Najib. it must be hard to be in his shoes. i dont think its fair nk compare PM OZ ke, PM dutch ke yang lantang bersuara. they have strong military support dari negara lain hence x perlu risau pape & they have strong economy (or at least better than Msia). Msia ni negara kecik, nak bersuara lantang kena pikir banyak kali. kes MH370 pon jenuh nak amek ati China coz China is one of the biggest contributor to Msia's economic. nk compare pulak zaman Tun M, zaman nuwar la bagai. zaman depa ada ke benda yg sama jadik? nak compare, compare apple to apple la. compare dgn leader from Asian countries yg lain yg citizens depa ade dlm MH17. compare dgn asian countries yg economy depa begantung pada negara lain. are they as loud as the rest?
typical malaysians yg kejenye nak bash MAS & gov are just pathetic. |

Earlier this evening I spoke to Alexander Borodai, who is in command of the region where the tragedy occurred. We have agreed the following:
1: the remains of 282 ppl in Torez will be moved by train to Kharkiv where they will be handed over to representatives from the Netherlands.
2: At approx 9pm tonight Ukraine time, the 2 black boxes will be handed over to a M'sian team in Donetsk who will take custody of them.
3: independent international investigators will be guaranteed safe access to the crash site to begin a full investigation of the incident.
At times I wanted to give greater voice to the anger & grief tt we feel. But sometimes, we must work quietly in service of a better outcome.

I feel sorry for you
Typical meleis yg x boleh terima jika ada yg kritik dan x setuju, hanya hadap dengan simpati dan pujian melimpah ruah, sebenarnya lebih miskin jiwa.
Sama je analogi uol ngan kelas kuliah universiti tempatan. Lecturer cakap semua betul, tanya, soalan semua takde, pendapat pun takde, kritikan pun takde, paham pun paham katanya padahal....bengong sendirian. Nak kritik lecturer malu takut kawan kawan bash. So diam jelah sambil ejek org lain yg berlainan. Typical sgt.

bkn ada dua insurance ke? satu allianze dan satu lg Atrium...kalo pasa war ni si atrium kena kaber, tp allianze tak. cuma persoalan atrium tu byr utk apa? kapalterbang sahaja or skali dgn penumpang.

The train carrying MH17 victims is en route to Kharkiv but will pass through Donetsk, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko says in a statement.
Poroshenko's statement reads:
Train with the bodies of those who were lost in MH-17 plane crash started its movement from the area of the disaster
Train with the bodies of those who were lost in MH-17 plane crash started its movement towards Kharkiv through Donetsk. It was reported to the President by head of the state commission on investigating reasons of Boeing 777 crash, Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
The President commanded the Armed Forces to take all the necessary steps to ensure the security of the train until its arrival to the destination point.
Kharkiv is the hub of recovery efforts, organized by Kiev, and Donetsk, though the center of rebel forces' command, is the scene of intense fighting and at least five casualties. The railway station there is operating with disruptions, according to Reuters, but was deemed "dangerous" by the city council Monday.
