Send strong message to Jakarta: Umno Youth
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 7, 2010): Umno Youth has urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send a strong message to Indonesia, demanding a halt and the recurrence of the anti-Malaysia demonstrations in Jakarta.
Its chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, said Malaysians could no longer tolerate the demonstrations by several groups of activists outside the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta as it involved the dignity of Malaysians.
"I welcome the meeting between the Malaysian and Indonesian foreign ministers yesterday but the reciprocity between them have no meaning if the protesters continue to attack the embassy.
"I am afraid the Foreign Ministry had failed to convey the true feeling of the people of Malaysia to Indonesia as we could no longer tolerate the anti-Malaysia protests," he told reporters at the launch of the Young Consumerism Campaign here today.
In conjunction with the campaign jointly organised by Umno Youth and the Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca), Umno Youth members would be mobilised to distribute brochures on consumer rights to the community.
At a meeting in Kota Kinabalu yesterday, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman and his Indonesian counterpart, Dr Marty Natalegawa have agreed on measures to avoid conflicts between the two countries.
Meanwhile, in Jakarta, several protesters climbed on top of the front gate and the security guard post of the Malaysian Embassy in Kuningan, South Jakarta today and waved Indonesian flags.
Ironically, they were not stopped by the police who arrived ahead of the protestors.
Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Syed Munshe Afdzaruddin said the embassy would send a protest note to the Indonesian Foreign Ministry over the police inaction as it had given an undertaking to protect the embassy and Malaysians in the republic.
About 170 members of Laskar Merah Putih (LMP) and several other groups in the "Ganyang Malaysia" (Go to war with Malaysia) campaign took part in the hour-long protest outside the embassy during heavy downpour from 11.40am.
However, the police intervened only when the protestors began to spread a banner written "Ganyang Malaysia" at the gate and ordered those on top of the guard post to come down.
The police also had barbed wires with them but they were not laid on the ground.
Other groups which demonstrated today included Kesatuan Aksi Lintas Mahasiswa (Kalam) and People's Bastion for Democracy (Bendera). — Bernama |

Langkah pertama buat masa kini ialah hentikan sinetron ALISA di tv3 hari ini juga. Stesen2 tv yg lain harus ikut serta, boikot ceta2 sinetron drp terus disiarkan. Orang M'sia tak rugi tak tengok sinetron Indon! Ayuhlah CEO-CEO di stesen tv. apakah anda semua tak terasa apabila maruah negara kita diperlakukan sedemikian.

Langkah pertama sepatutnya boikot produk jenama Indon macam Mi Sedap ke, Indomie ke, Indocafe ke, Daia ke, serta kalau ada lagu Indon era 2000-an ke, 2010-an ke kat radio tukar channel saja la. Senang citer, kan? |

Haku pun lebih kurang sama aje. Habis Hari Raya kalau haku makan mi segera (tak kira kuah ke ataupun goreng ke) makan saja mi segera jena Maggi ke, Cintan ke, Mamee ke. Tak lama dulu ada mi segera jenama Adabi dan Ruski. Malaysian made lagi tuh, sedap dimakan berbanding jenama Indon macam Mi Sedap ke, Indomie ke. |
