cheese and chalk ni digunakan dlm context utk menunjukkan betapa berbezanya sesuatu bende atau subject itu ..to indicate differences ..la ..mcm tu la...oil and water ..kita tahu dua-dua bende ni tak boleh campoq so..itu lah yg nak ditunjukkan oleh perumpamaan ini...

Mr. Brown: Well, right....tonight I want to concentrate on English conversation, sort of things you say during the course of every day. For example, Ranjeet....where would you take a cheque?
Ranjeet : To Czechoslovakia!
Mr. Brown: No. Not that sort of Czech!
Ranjeet : Thousand apologies.
Mr. Brown: A cheque is a certain amount of money. Where would you take it?
Ranjeet : A bank.
Mr. Brown: Thank you. Juan?
Juan : Si, senor.
Mr. Brown: You felt ill.....what would you do?
Juan : Go to bed!
Mr. Brown: Before that?
Juan : Aaa.....take the clothes off.
Mr. Brown: You go to the doctor's.
Juan : No, no doctor. Doctor kill my uncle in Madrid.
Mr. Brown: Really??
Juan : Si, my uncle.....he has pain in the chest. He goes see doctor. Doctor listens? (imitating a doctor with a stethoscope) and says, so right!!! 10 minutes later, in the street.....my uncle, perrgh, finite!!!
Mr. Brown: Ohh....heart attack?
Juan : Motor car!
Mr. Brown: You can't hardly blame the doctor for that!
Juan : Si!!! The doctor, he was driving the motor car!! (Juan was so serious!)

Ali : Yes, please.
Mr. Brown: You have a headache.
Ali : Oh, no sir.
Mr. Brown: Assumed you have a headache. Where would you go to get some aspirin?
Ali : Aaa.....Tandoori take-away!
Mr. Brown: NO, Ali.
Ali : Yes, please. My jelly good friend who's working there always had plenty aspirin.
Mr. Brown: I meant.....to buy some aspirin?
Ali : Why should I buy them when I can be getting them from my friend for nothing at all?
Mr. Brown: All right. Where do you go for aspirins when the Tandoori take-away is closed?
Ali : Oh blimey! Taj Mahal Curry House!
Mr. Brown: Jamila, would you please tell Ali where would you go to get aspirin?
Jamila : Buy at chemist.
Mr. Brown: Thank you. Where are you going now? (seeing Ali going out)
Ali : To buy some aspirin for headache.
Mr. Brown: I said you haven't got a headache.
Ali : Oh blimey! I got one now! :re:
