Chinese and French companies have announced large investments in US shale oil and gas projects as they seek to benefit from the country’scontroversial boom in “unconventional” resources.

Senior Obama Admin Official: “We Are Going to Kill the Dollar”

According to investor Kyle Bass, a senior Obama administration official stated that their economic plan moving forward involves killing the dollar.
Speaking at AmeriCatalyst 2011, which took place in early November 2011, Kyle explained what the Obama administration official apparently told him.
“The governments idea right now is we are going to export our way out of this and when i asked a senior Obama administration official last week how are we going to grow exports if we wont all nominal wage deflation, he said we are just going to kill the dollar.”
Chris Duane, of Dont-tread-on.me, wrote that this simply means that they are going to print more and more dollars until all of our purchasing power is destroyed which will cause Americans to need more and more dollars to buy the same amount of goods.
President Obama faces “huge political consequences” if he does not approve the proposed 1,700-mile Keystone XI pipeline that would link Alberta’s oil stands to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast, a top oil industry lobbyist warned Wednesday.
Jack Gerard, head of the American Petroleum Institute, used his annual “State of American Energy” speech to draw a pipe in the sand on behalf of a project backed by Big Oil and construction unions, but opposed by environmentalists.
“Clearly the Keystone XL pipeline is in the national interest,” said Gerard. “A determination to decide anything less than that, I believe, will have huge political consequences.”

Soros says EU break-up would be catastrophic

HYDERABAD, Jan 6 — A collapse of the euro and break-up of the European Union would have catastrophic consequences for the global financial system, billionaire investor George Soros was quoted as saying.
“Today, the euro is potentially endangering the political cohesion of the European Union,” the Business Line newspaper cited Soros as saying in the south Indian city of Hyderabad.
“If the common currency were to break down, it will lead to the break up of the European Union itself. And this will be catastrophic not only for Europe but also for the global financial system.”
The euro zone crisis is “more serious and more threatening than the crash of 2008,” the Economic Times reported, quoting Soros.
In the near term, some of the euro zone countries may have to take more austerity measures because of the imbalances between the “creditor and the debtor countries,” Soros said at a business school event, the Mint newspaper reported.
“Unfortunately, they haven’t yet solved the acute financial crisis and that is causing the situation to deteriorate...and (it) is not at all clear it will have a solution,” he said. — Reuters

- Stop berhutang dgn bank, creditor, etc. (bebas dr hutang/ikatan dgn mana² penghutang)
- Tukar nilai pendapatan kita drpd bentuk 'fiat' kpd emas/perak atau keperluan lain.
Cth: Berbelanja lah, jgn simpan 'fiat' lama². Utamakan yg asas i.e. makanan, pakaian, kemudahan, etc.
- Segala aset i.e. rumah/tanah/property/etc. sedia ada (hutang/outstanding),
jualkn, dan tukar kpd property yg murah dan lbh besar secara belian 'tunai'.
Lokasi srategik dan kemudahan kpd aset (i.e. rumah/tanah) adalah opsyen.
- hanya simpan 'fiat' utk dibakar shj. (i.e. petrol/diesel, bil elektrik, keperluan² lain yg di'subsidi' kerajaan, etc.)
- kurangkan 'bebanan' tingkatkan pengeluaran/pembuatan.
Cth: Belajar kayuh basikal utk ke kedai, mula tanam ulam²an, sayuran, jagung, etc. berskala kecil,
belajar asah kayu jd bara, siap sediakn dapur arang sbg alternatif, etc.
