What I miss about Geylang....they used to have tis lampu lap-lip competition, and then residents kat sana pasang lampu kelap-kelip shape masjid, bintang , bulan sabit...and while my family and i were jostling thru the crowd at Gylang, at the same time admiring all this works by them...amazing.
Really, i missed that vey much.Tak sama mcm lampu2 kat Orchard cos tu semua ada sponsor, tapi yg kat Geylang tu showcase the creativity of each indiviual resident in Geylang.... |

i thot i could see aeroplanes landing kat paya lebar
airport from those flats in geylang serai.
and there was a masjid too beside the road.forget the name of the mosque liau....long time ago story |

for a few years.. i was craving for rojak yg kuah dia merah..i selalu cari kat pasar2 ramadhan d brunei, for 5-6 years. then in 2005 baru i sedar that rojak yg i cari tu tak ada d brunei.. rupanya i pernah rasa dat rojak kat geylang in 1997. hampeh |
