Below is the response that I received to my letter about the IVF cost, IVF success rate and IVF process at the TMC Fertility Centre in Malaysia. A very quick response – received the same day that I emailed the letter to them.
I have added in the currency conversions to US$ in red. The web address for the clinic is http://www.tmcfertility.com/:
The following info is useful for overseas/outstation patients wishing to undergo IVF :-
1. Ideal timing of visit to Malaysia
As far as possible we should see the couple on the second or third day of the cycle (the first day of the cycle is the first day of a proper period). During this visit, the couple undergoes a full assessment and subsequently commencement of treatment. The husband would also need to undergo a semen analysis for which he should abstain between 3 – 5 days prior.
2. IVF/ICSI treatment cycle
Treatment involves a series of daily injections for between 10 – 12 days and clinic visits. You will need to be seen every 3 to 5 days until egg collection and subsequently embryo transfer 2 days later. If you need PGS/PGD, this will be done 3 – 5 days (blastocyst) after egg collection. Excess embryos if available will be frozen.
The entire treatment takes about 16 days (IVF / ICSI only) or 20 days (IVF + PGS). If you need PGS/PGD, you should be seen at the Kuala Lumpur centre.
3. Hospital Facilities
Our hospital offers comprehensive fertility care management. All fertility procedures are performed as day case, ie. no hospital admissions are necessary. However, if you require accommodation / lodging, airport transfer we are happy to help you arrange. There is a budget motel (A & N Motel), a 4- star hotel (Hotel Royal Bintang Damansara) and a 5-star hotel (One World Hotel) nearby. In addition, we also have some home-stay accommodation with facilities available.
There is also long stay apartments at the cost of RM1,200 (approx. US$350) per week.
4. The cost of treatment is as follows :-
Initial consultation (scans, semen analysis, blood tests) - RM 600 – RM 800 (approx. US$175 – US$235)
IVF (incl of drugs, lab charges, procedures) - RM18000 – RM20,000 per cycle (approx. US$5,240 – US$5,820)
IVF & PGS (incl of drugs, lab charges, procedures) - RM 24,000 – RM26,000 per cycle (approx. US$6,980 – US$7,565)
5. The pregnancy rate per cycle are as follows :-
IVF 53%
ICSI 42%
IVF & PGD 45%
We prefer if you can have the entire treatment with us to ensure consistency and high success rates, but if you wish, you can have part of the treatment with your own fertility specialist and come back to us for egg collection and transfer.

Isu TUDUNG tak beshla Colby. Meh bincang fasal IVF pulek.
Napa tak mau guna IVF? Ni tengah hanget bincang. Ramai
tak dapek terima sebab-sebab yang dah dispekokan. Antaranya;
* Tok K kencing manis, sperma dah tak sehat (speko lama)
* Sperma Tok K semua kosong, takda ulat (speko lama gak)
* Sperma Tok K sehat tapi Tok K tak mau anak ( alasan ni diSHITKAN
sebab semua tak mau terima Tok K kejam, pentingkan diri)
* Tok K malu, takut ada orang tanya, "Tu cucu ke pakcik?" bila
bawak baby ke klink (baru sebut-sebut, lom diulas lagi)
* Ovari siti rosak (ini lom lagi)
* Semuanya KUASA ALLAH ( ni kartz punya alasan)
Ada banyak lagi alasan yang lom dibincang.......... |

Benda ni kalau bertepuk sebelah tangan tak dok bunyi .. kalau fans berhemah tak mengeji ngeji anti boleh jer berforum mcm biasa tapi bila ada yang dah ambil lencana POLIS thread .. nak dengar apa jer yang dia nak dengar .. maka antu syaitan semua mai lah belakang masing masing.
Aku ni tak lah minat siti dan tak lah membenci dia .. time dia pakai baju cantik aku puji dia cantik. Tapi ada dua orang ni sudah ingat aku ni anti sudah ingat aku ni ada penyakit hati. Hek eleee ~~ loya tekak  |

Kutuk? hok mace ni baru kutuk " ala tok ti muka lawo tapi mandul dok buleh anok sore pung"
or '' perempuan mandul dari kuala lipis" etc etc
setakat bagi suggestion suruh dia buat IVF dll tu tak mengutuk namanya. Itu tanda kesian  |

tak semestinya semua orng yg dah kawin tu semua dapat anak cepat2 ada yg cepat ada yg lambat , lagipun dia orang tu baru kawin 3 tahun so no rush kalau dia betui2 nak anak sangat2 kena lah usaha sebab sekarang nie kan technology dah canggih cuma dia kena masuk keluar clinic fertility lah...jangan sibuk cari duit ....concentrate on baby making ....lagipun duit dia dah banyak she can afford to take time out 1-2 yrs to get the baby ...idola dia pun camtu gak bila nak anak she take time out dari menyanyi ( celine dion ) tu pun laki tua gak ...nie nak anak tapi nak keja keras buat duit ...tak semua orang tu cepat mengandung ....kalau betui dia nak anak ... |

Kalau tok ti serius nak anak....dia kena kurangkan aktiviti seni dia....take a long break and focus.
Banyak alternatif ada skrang ni....duit bukan persoalannya....kalau boleh beli nombor kete ribu riban...takkan tak boleh melabur untuk zuriat sendiri. |

didoakan siti ada anak sendiri, sbb anaklah yg mendoakan ibu bapanya bila sudah tiada..gesa dan desak atok k tuk ada anak..cuba je kekdah2 yg moden..jgn kedekut....rehat banyak2...jgn takut badan lari ke haper..bila kita sakit nanti kalau takde anak, anak sedara ke adik-beradik ke takde nyer nak bela kita, walaupun tabur duit bagai...aku byk tgk contoh nieh tau |
