Federer Named Top Seed At Wimbledon
Defending champion and six-time titlist Roger Federer has been named top seed for The Championships at Wimbledon, which begins on Monday, 21 June.
His long-time rival Rafael Nadal, the 2008 winner, who is currently No. 1 in the South African Airways 2010 ATP Rankings, is second seed. Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray make up the top four seeds.
World No. 7 Andy Roddick, a three-time Wimbledon finalist and four-time former champion at the AEGON Championships at The Queen’s Club, has been named No. 5 seed.
World No. 26 Lleyton Hewitt, the 2002 titlist, who lifted his seventh grass-court trophy at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle on Sunday, is No. 15 seed. The Australian is also a four-time former winner at The Queen's Club.
The Championships seeding committee have re-arranged the top 32 players on the ATP Entry System Position (ESP) on a surface-based system.
Since 2002, following an agreement made with the ATP, the singles seeding order is determined using an objective and transparent system to reflect more accurately an individual player's grass court achievements.
The formula is:
• Take ESP points at 14 June 2010
• Add 100% points earned for all grass court tournaments in the past 12 months
• Add 75% points earned for best grass court tournament in the 12 months before that.

mmg sepatutnya camtu... main yg penting2 saja... kalau join tournament yg kecik2 tu, main round 1-2, pastu kalah jerla... mcm abg dere & serena... main gs sajer... jaga badan.
masters pun takyah kejar sgt dah.. dah byk dari orang lain... masters lak lawan tetiap hari... berat tu.
i harap nadal menang uso at least sekali... wpun susah nak menang kat hardcourt yg ni ... tapi nadal suka kejar wimbly seketul lagi dpd kejar uso... sukahati ler... |

World Cup 2010: Rafael Nadal 'Cried Like A Little Boy' Watching Spain Defeat Netherlands

Tennis ace Rafael Nadal has confessed that he cried like a little boy watching Spain defeat Netherlands in the World Cup final.
The eight-time Grand Slam winner and current Wimbledon champion is an avid football fan and earlier this week became a major shareholder in hometown club Mallorca, where he watched the previous two rounds.
For the final however the 24-year-old was at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg to witness la Furia Roja claim their first ever World Cup triumph thanks to Andres Iniesta's extra-time winner and he declared afterward that the Iberian nation should celebrate the win for a year.
"I cried like a little boy. We have to celebrate for a whole year, because this is unbelievable. It is very difficult to repeat this," he said as quoted by Marca.
"It will be crazy at home. Imagine, I was watching the semi-finals in Mallorca and I felt amazing. The whole country must be very proud."
