As 2015 comes to an end, the internet is full of top 10 lists that sum up the year gone by. Now that we have listed our favourites, it is time to name the worst. While 2015 saw some great stories onscreen, and a few debutante directors and actors one-upped the stars with their brilliant offerings, it also had its share of badly made films which were a torture to sit through. Bear with us for the last time as we jog your memory and bring you the worst of the worst from 2015.
1. Tevar (January) The year started with Arjun Kapoor-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Tevar. While Sonakshi Sinha has become a regular in meaningless ‘entertainers’, it was surprising to see a talented actor like Manoj Bajpayee waste his prowess on something as pathetic as Amit Sharma’s venture. The story of two goons fighting over a girl when the girl doesn’t love either of them is not a novel torture in Hindi cinema. The non-existent plot made it so much worse.
2. MSG (February and September )
Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim Ji Insan wrote, directed and played the lead role in his debut film Messenger of God and its sequel. He was the love charger, ghost-rider, superpower, vigilante, bomber, painter, healer, father… and much more rolled into one twice over. It was not a film, it was an “advertisement of his ‘humanitarian’ deeds and the political clout he’s never tried to hide,” as Rohit Vats wrote in his review.
3. Roy (February)
Ranbir Kapoor had a series of disappointments at the BO with Bombay Velvet, Roy and last year’s Besharam. What was really annoying about Roy was the fact that it pretended to be too intelligent. Director Vikramjit Singh’s Roy, that starred Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandes in lead roles, was actually a self-indulgent, lazy and confused movie.
4. Ek Paheli Leela (April)
Sunny Leone played a double role in Bobby Khan’s directorial venture that encashed on the porn star-turned-actor’s ‘sexy image’. Sadly, the filmmakers didn’t even bother to invest in a story now that they had Sunny. From cheesy lines to sexy and vulgar dance moves, the director was much too focused on getting the whistles from the front bench to worry about the rest.
5. Bombay Velvet (May)
One of the biggest disappointments this year was Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. With the acclaimed director working with stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, expectations were sky high. The only saving grace, however, was Karan Johar as the film’s villain. You do not expect someone like Kashyap to deliver a film full of cliches, but the film’s mega budget seems to have bogged him down.
6. All Is Well (July)
Rishi Kapoor teamed up with Rohit Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan for this apology of a comic caper, All Is Well. From stereotypes to sad attempts of jokes, Umesh Shukla ensured his audience repented their decision of going to the theatre.
7. Calendar Girls (September)
Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest venture where he explored the world of, well, calender girls, was another disappointing affair we had to deal with this year. Most of the film was about close-ups of female anatomy and the rest was a bland narration about judging the characters of the said females - you are good only if you are not too ambitious. Thanks Mr Bhandarkar, but please save the lecture!
8. Singh Is Bling (October)
Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is King was a good entertainer and managed to make a decent collection at the box office. The sequel, however, was possibly the worst of puerile humour Bollywood could have offered. Like most of the ‘entertainers’ of our film industry, the film had no story and was a torture to say the least.
9. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (November)
Sooraj Barjatya’s latest venture appeared like the perfect film you want to watch with your friends and family. On closer inspection, it was a rehash of everything boring and bling-y from the ’90s. The Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor-starrer took us to the era and forced us to live through it once again *shudder*.
10. Dilwale (December)
The year ended with yet another mind-numbing entertainer. Rohit Shetty had the brilliant idea of encashing on Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge completing 20 years. He brought together Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in a film so illogical, it even failed by Shetty’s standards.

baru jer balik dari nonton mobie nie tadi.... hati kuat nak nonton sebab iols mmg suka gandingan SRK n Kajol ... teruja biler meliat kelibat kajol selepas ~20 min citer berjalan ...
for me ... citer ni teramat menghiburkan ... tak heavy sesangat.
Overall... iols bagi mobie ni 8.8 bintang out of 10 ....
