Still, Angela keeps persevering, and she's damn talented. But not talented enough to make the Top 24, apparently. Kara sat next to Angela to deliver the bad news, totally degrading her in the process. Not only that, the judges degraded all of us by making this choice over the not-nearly-as-talented but very-much-more-blonde-haired Janell Wheeler. I mean, why not give Angela the chance to have America decide her fate in this thing?….. |

Mezhgan Hussainy, often misspelled Mezghan, and pronounced “mish-gone” is a beautiful woman who is rumored to be dating Simon Cowell. She is the chief makeup artist for American Idol and several other television shows.
She quotes her mother’s words as they fled from Afghanistan when she was just 8 years old, “Just keep running and don’t stop.” This is what has helped Mezhgan push herself in life and in her career. She is now one of the top make up artists in Hollywood and is very passionate about her work. She has been featured in magazines, interviewed on TV shows, and radio and has worked with some of the biggest stars in the business.
Whether Mezhgan Hussainy is Simon Cowell’s new girlfriend or not, this beauty is quite the catch and we are sure this isn’t the last we will hear of her.
Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday party, a surprise bash held ahead of the actual day and attended by many of his exes, had a lovely additional guest.
She was Mezghan Hussainy, a lithe American make-up artist who works on American Idol, was Cowell’s “plus one”.
A friend said: “Mezghan is gorgeous. She has it all - looks, charm, warmth and an incredible sense of humour.”
Hussainy, 36, flew to London to attend the weekend party. “She and Simon enjoy each other’s company, and the pair of them go for lunch or dinner.”
Cowell, a star judge of reality talent shows in the US and UK, broke up with Terri Seymour a year ago after a long-term relationship.
The party was hosted by one of 10 exes that were in attendance: Jackie St Clair.
HE SAID he would never tie the knot, calling marriage an ' outdated contract' and shuddering any time the word commitment was mentioned.
But Simon Cowell has eaten his words, it seems, and proposed to make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy after months of self-searching in the wake of turning 50.
The news follows days of speculation after Miss Hussainy, 36, was pictured sporting a dazzling Graff £250,000 diamond on her wedding finger.
Cowell has remained quiet on the reports, but the Daily Mail has learned he popped the question weeks ago.
A friend said: 'Simon loves Mezghan, it's as simple as that. He's an incredibly instinctive person and this is just right.
'When he turned 50 in October, he was forced to evaluate things and really think about what he wanted from life.
'Mezghan has been by his side for months now, she cared for him the other week when he was so sick he was forced to miss Britain's Got Talent auditions.
'This is something that Simon isn't telling many people, but they are engaged. Mezghan is a great girl and extremely down to earth.'

Moving on: Mezhgan Hussainy's first husband, Ahmed Shah Zahiri, today.
He is Ahmed Shah Zahiri, who has made a decent enough living supplying Oriental rugs to the whitewashed stucco villas of Santa Barbara in California.
At first glance, the possibility of any link between the dishevelled Ahmed and the star-studded world of television celebrity might seem remote — but there is a fascinating connection. For this man's ex-wife is the new girlfriend of millionaire X Factor mogul and American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
Ahmed was married for eight years to Mezhgan Hussainy, who appears to have bewitched Cowell to the extent that the confirmed bachelor has been happy to be seen kissing and hugging her in public.
Mezhgan — pronounced 'Mishgan' — and Ahmed were married in the early nineties and were together for eight years until their divorce.
While the intervening years seem to have taken their toll on Ahmed, it is clear that Mezhgan has undergone an utterly astonishing transformation from traditional Muslim wife to astute businesswoman with access to some of Hollywood's most powerful people.
Ahmed's nephew expressed admiration — and some bafflement — at what she'd achieved. John Niazi, 27, said: 'I couldn't believe it when I first heard Mezhgan was with Simon Cowell.
'But then I was also surprised when she got married to my uncle. Back then, she was about 20, and she was the prettiest Afghan girl I'd ever seen. She was like a supermodel, really beautiful, and my uncle was an average Joe, more than ten years older than her.
“Why would they marry? Maybe money. My uncle was pretty well off. He was driving the latest Mercedes and his rug business was doing well. Simon Cowell isn't that good-looking either, but then again he's fabulously wealthy.”
The relationship is believed to have started last summer, a year after Cowell broke up with Terri Seymour, his last long-term girlfriend.
