huh my peberet nih...bakhlava nih dia ada memacam bentuk..ada yg digulung..dipotong diamond..dibungkus cam kelopak bunga...
dan kat sini bakhlava ada dua jenih..satu dia guna pistachio dan satu lagi walnut kalu tak silap..yg walnut nih dia panggil snow ball...
kebanyakan kedai kek mesti jual bakhlava nih tapi manis skit la...prefer gi kedai yg khas jual bakhlava..then kalu kita nak bawak jalan jauh kita buleh suruh pack kan dalam tin nak sekilo..2 kilo...kali sini sekilo dlm kd4.500 lebih kurang rm57.. |

que nak share resepi bakhalava sumber dari Arabian Gulf Cookbook by Suzi Wells..beli buku nih kat sini...
500 gm frozen filo pastry
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2-3 cups ground nuts ( walnuts, almonds, pistachios)
1/4 cup caster sugar
2 egg whites
1 tsp rosewater ( or to taste)
atar syrup *
* 4 cups sugar
2 cups water
1tsp lemon juice
1 tsp rosewater
1. Pour water into heavy-based saucean and place over medium heat.Dissolve the sugar in the water, stirring from time to time.
2. When completely dissolved, bring mixture to boil, add lemon juice and boil foe a few minutes but do not stir.
3. Add rosewater and removw from heat.
Bakhlava roll.
1. Mix together the nuts, sugar, egg whites and rosewater.
2. Take 2-3 sheet of filo pastry and brush with melted butter.
3. lay them on the top of the othr and place 4-5 tsp of the filling along the longest edge of the top sheet. Roll it up.
4. Place the finished rolls in a buttered baking tin.Brush with butter.Cut diagonally into 5-8cm lengths.
5. Bake in a pre-heated oven ( 180'c) for 30-45 mins.
6. Spoon cold atar syrup over each bakhlava until saturated. |

sambungan method 2 - bakhlava in diamond shapes
1. Grease abaking tin roughly 10 x 15 inches in size wit melted butter.
2. Brush half the pastry sheets with melted butter and place in the tin
3. Spread filling in a layer 3/4 inch thick.
4. Brush teh remaining filo sheets with meltled butter and place on top.
5. Brush the top wh melted butter
6. To form long diamond shapes make diagonal cuts through the bakhlava from opposite directions, making sure to cut through the bottom layer to ensure easy removal from baking dish when cooked.
7. Bake in a pre-heat oven 180'c for 30 mins. Then reduce to 150'c and bake for 15 mins.
8. Remove from heat adn spon cool syrup over bakhlava.

Baklawa ke baklava?. Kat Dubai ni baklava ok tak berapa manis. Baklva yang paling sedap kat sini ialah buatan masyarakat Lebanon. Rata-rata penjual baklava kat Dubai ni ialah orang Lebanon dan memang sedap. 1 kg harga Dirham 40.00 (RM40.00). Baklava ada bermaca-macam jenis, ada almond baklava, pistachio bakllava, ground nuts baklava dan bermacam-macam lagi yang aku tak reti nak sebut. Kalau kat Emirates Mall atau Union Coop baklava dijual dah siap packing, dlm setiap packing tu ada macam-macam jenis baklava. Tapi baklava yang paling aku suka ialah baklava gajus......pehhhhh!!!.....sedap beb!!. Setiap kali balik M'sia mesti beli 2 atau 3 kg.Benda ni pun tahan, simpan dalam peti ais. Mat salleh cukup suka ngan baklava ni..Tapi x boleh makan banyak..... berminyak. |

fea suka makan baklava ni.....
dulu masa tinggal kat London, selalu beli kat kedai2 arab along Edgware Road....kalau lagi class, gi beli kat Selfridges...hehehhee....
also pernah beli kat Dubai and also masa gi Haji last year, beli kat Mekkah...sedap sangat......

btw, burmaa is made with Kadayif, which is shredded filo pastry....

Thread lama mempunyai masalah teknikal yang tidak dapat dibaiki, dengan itu saya telah pun membuang thread tersebut dan membuka thread baru.
Kepada kengkawan yang masih ingat lagi resepi2 di dalam thread lama..bolehlah berkongsi dan tempek kembali di thread baru nie..
Thread ini khusus utk hidangan pencuci mulut atau dessert di serata dunia.
Resepi-resepi yang dah ada di archieve, tak perlulah di tempek sekali lagik..
