William Michael Albert Broad[1] (born November 30, 1955), known professionally by his stage name Billy Idol, is a British musician, singer, songwriter and actor. He first achieved fame in the 1970s as a member of the punk rock band Generation X. Blondie is an American rock band founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein.[1] The band was a pioneer in the early American new wave and punk scenes of the mid-late 1970s. Its first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next three years, the band achieved several hit singles[2]including "Call Me", "Atomic" and "Heart of Glass" and became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles incorporating elements of disco, pop, reggae, and early rap music.
The lyrics for "Dreaming" originated from the line, "dreaming is free," which band member Chris Stein thought of.[3] After hearing the music for the song that Stein wrote, Debbie Harry wrote the rest of the lyrics.[3] Musically, the song is a fast paced new wave song. Stein has since claimed that the song is "pretty much a copy" of "Dancing Queen" by ABBA.[3]
It’s tough to bring any kind of meaning to a three-minute pop song, let along poignancy, but that’s what Harry manages to do. In the final verse, the narrator finds herself getting lost in her dreams seemingly everywhere she goes. When she reveals the subject matter of her dreams, it becomes clear that she’s trying to compensate for what’s missing in her real life: “Imagine something of your very own/Something you can have and hold/I’d build a road of gold just to have some dreaming.”
Kurt pernah cakap dalam sebuah interview yang Pearl Jam tu “false alternative macho metal” dan dia tak nak perform dgn Pearl Jam utk MTV. Eddie vocalist Pearl Jam lak cakap “I can appreciate them. I realize that the same people that like their band like our band so why create some kind of feud?”

Dave tak puas hati lepas kena tendang dari Metallica atas sbb drugs dan alcohol. Siap dia formed band baru, Megadeth.

Bila Roger nk keluar dari Pink Floyd, David tak bagi sape2 guna nama Pink Floyd. And they ended up in legal battle.

Axl mmg slalu bergaduh dgn org, tp kes gaduh plg besar dgn Slash. Slash announced yang dia quit. Tapi Axl bagitau MTV yang Slash kena fired. Tapi sekarang diorg dh berbaik.

Kes ni agak panjang sbb Eddie sendiri ada problem with addiction. So David keluar dulu. Then diorg ambil Sammy, ended up mcm kes Axl dan Slash, sorg ckp quit sorg cakap kena fired. David joined balik tp time MTV VMAs tahun 1996 dia x sengaja buat Eddie sentap sbb dia bergurau pasal Eddie punya hip replacement surgery. Micheal lak memang alienated Eddie sbb Eddie punya perangai.

The Runaways were an American all-femalerock band that recorded and performed in the second half of the 1970s. The band released four studio albums and one live set during its run. Among their best-known songs are "Cherry Bomb", "Hollywood", "Queens of Noise" and a cover version of the Velvet Underground’s "Rock & Roll". The Runaways, though never a major success in the United States, became a sensation overseas, e.g. in Japan, thanks to the hit single "Cherry Bomb".Early years[edit]
Formed in late 1975 by drummer Sandy West and rhythm guitarist Joan Jett after they had both introduced themselves to producer Kim Fowley, who gave Jett's phone number to West. The two met on their own at West's home and later called Fowley to let him hear the outcome. Fowley then helped the girls find other members. Two decades later he said, "I didn't put the Runaways together, I had an idea, they had ideas, we all met, there was combustion and out of five different versions of that group came the five girls who were the ones that people liked."[3]
Due to disagreements over money and the management of the band, the Runaways and Kim Fowley parted ways in 1977. The group quickly hired new management, Toby Mamis, who also worked for Blondie and Suzi Quatro. When the group split with Fowley, they also parted with their record label Mercury/Polygram, to which their deal was tied. In the Edgeplay documentary, members of the group (especially Fox and Currie) as well as the parents of Currie and West, have accused Fowley, and others assigned to look after the band, of broken promises as to schooling and other care, using divide and conquer tactics to keep control of the band, along with the verbal taunting of band members. The band reportedly spent much time enjoying the excesses of the rock 'n' roll lifestyle during this time. They partnered with Thin Lizzy producer John Alcock, after Jett's future partner Kenny Laguna turned down the job, to record their last album And Now... The Runaways.
Disagreement between band members included the musical style; Joan Jett wanted the band to take a musical change, shifting towards punk rock/glam rock while Lita Ford andSandy West wanted to continue playing hard rock/heavy metal music.[6] Neither would accept the other's point of view.[7] Finally, the band played their last concert[8] on New Year's Eve 1978 at the Cow Palace near San Francisco and officially broke up in April 1979.
