How to Use Tretinoin (Retin-A)

Tretinoin (Retin-A, Avita, Renova) is a derivative of Vitamin A and is the treatment of choice for comedonal acne, or whiteheads and blackheads. It works by increasing skin cell turnover promoting the extrusion of the plugged material in the follicle. It also prevents the formation of new comedones. Tretinoin is also the only topical medication that has been proven to improve wrinkles.

Side Effects of Retin-A
The effect of increased skin cell turnover can be irritation and flaking. For this reason, many people stop using Retin-A after a couple of days to weeks, then think that it didn't work. It is important to realize that Retin-A is very effective for whiteheads and blackheads, but it may take 6-9 weeks to see a noticeable difference.

kalau guna retin a ni boleh ke makan beta carotene (vit a)?

i don't see why cannot... asal jgn berlebihan i guess coz nnt terlebih vit A can cause hair loss. Lagipun retin A ni apply bukan consume....

dah try beli gel retin-a 2 minggu lpas...
kat farmasi rm27.50 yg 0.01% punya....
calit sket kat jerawat bwh dagu niii...

Tadi tanya di Farmasi Anis (Tmn Sri Serdang) pasal Retin-A ni. Menurut ahli farmasi tu sekarang ni ada produk generik (Malaysia punya) seperti SORFIC (Tritinoin 0.05%, Vit E 0.006%, D-Oanthenol 1.2%).

Harga SORFIC 15g cuma RM 9.00

Krim ni guna malam je sebab ada tindakbalas dengan cahaya matahari..

Orang yang ingin mengandung tak boleh guna sebab dos vitamin A (tretinoin) yang tinggi..

nak tanya sikit..last 2 months i ada pakai this retin A but masa tuh I tak tau I dah pregnant..(period tak betul..3 bulan sekali) so ingatkan x der apa2..so doktor tuh suruh I beli jer kat farmasi psl mmg muka I tumbuh byk sgt jerawat..(pembawakan rupanya..)
baru dpt tau I pregnant masa dah 3 months..terus stopla..so ada apa2 effect tak kat baby I nih..takut laaa..stress sgt..dah la masa tuh amik duramin sekali..ya allah..selamat kan lah baby I nih..

aku pakai jenis retin-a gel..
gel nih die elok sbb senang serap compared ngan cream..
lagi satu, bile kite apply kat muke..
langsung x nampak macam kene sapu..( maksudnye takde kesan @ minyak)
kalo cream tu, die ade kesan minyak..
tp, kalo nak lebih berkesan gune benzoyl peroxide 5% yang jenis gel gak..
siang pakai benzoyl peroxide water base gel..
malam lak pakai retin-A..
insya-allah pimple tu kurang..
side effects die--> kulit mmg terbakar laa..
tp, kejap jer..
pastu ok..
jgn lupe bace selawat bebyk..

Retin-a boleh didapati dengan samada 0.1 or 0.05% isotretonoin di farmasi,you can get it for below rm40 nowadays, u need a perscription for it, apa dia buat ialah itregulates the surface[meratakan permukaan kulit? Selain for acne treatment it is also used for reducing wrinkles, stretch marks, it even works as a combo with minoxidil for better absorbtion to treat baldness.

Mula2 you guna you will feel your skin is very dry and flaky, sebab tu u letak sikit je and ratakan all around the area, bila morning try to wash it off dengan facial cleanser and try to put moisturizer with sunblock in it because your skin is now prone to sunburn. Hope this helps.
