The seventh day is read as the Sabbath.

Muslims are so bad in reading in context of anything.
When the Genesis said God made man and woman. It does not mean God said hey presto you exist.
REMEMBER THE GENESIS WAS WRITTEN FOR AN AUDIENCE WHO HAS NO CONCEPT OF SCIENCE.
IMAGINE YOU TRY TO EXPLAIN TO YOUR 7 YEAR OLD CHILD ABOUT HOW SHE/HE WAS MADE.
Are you going to through the whole lot of human reproductory processes of course you are not.
You are just going to say mummy and daddy love each other and wanted you, so we made you.
So was there a need to go through the evolution theories, of course not.
That was how the simple message of creation was transmitted over several thousand years.

i think, what sakinah want to convey is, information written in genesis would somehow be OBSOLETE!
god may not need pen in his hand, but your high-priest do need that in order to interpolate the contents... |

This will be a huge liability to the high preist to explain them in comprehensible manner, to different target people etc etc.
When they have another alternative, which is easier, and all stated in one Book, not books, why they choose the harder..... |
