pernah tengok "Not Without My Daughter?" (citer tahun 1990 lakonan Sally Field pasal how she tried to escape from Iran with her daughter who was taken hostage by his Iranian husband, a true story)  filem dia lebih si*l drpd novel (a biography really by a woman named Betty Mahmoody). Granted its subject matter is acceptable (keganasan rumah tangga, diskriminasi etc) tapi nak gak selit penghinaan. yang ni memang example of debasing a religion.

Speilberg ni dia sendiri pun mengaku yg kalau di abuat filem fiction etc yg light stuffs mmg nampak mengiburkan tapi bila buat film like Schindler's List , the Color Purple tec  - akan jadi  lain pulak - apa yg kita pnggil quite the opposite extremes- tapi i setuju dengan pendapat di atas - mmg he tried to understand but would that be the correct understanding?  hmm.. apa apa pun propaganda tu  yg i nak tengok sikit der tak...

i dont think so. seems like malaysia wont approve any film that condemns the killing of Jews. for example, Schindler's List.

Tak silap aku eaters of the dead a novel by Micheal Crichton (which aku tak baca) ada Muslim as a hero : Ahmad ben Fadhlan dalam filem 13th warrior (tak silap aku kot pasal aku biasanyer luper action films yang aku tengok)
yang latest: Kingdom of Heaven kot (coz aku tak tengok lagi citer ni) ada tak lagi yang latest ones........(susahnyer nak carik)

p/s takpe tak lama lagi kuarler citer Da Vinci Code (Tom Hanks in it) maybe derang plak bertelagah sesama sendiri tentang filem ni

film ni dah delay ke 13 April utk tayangan Malaysia.. mungkin LPF nak pertimbang beberapa kali kut utk film ni... tpi rasenye Spielberg tak memihak pada mana2 pihak utk filmni, so maybe leh lepas kut...

Kingdom Of Heaven pun tak nampak director tu memihak mana2, so tu yg senang lepas kat Malaysia tu...

Akhirnya aku dah tengok....dan aku rasa filem ni deserved utk dicalonkan utk Best Picture(bukan macam Crash tu.)

Filem 'serius' pertama Spielberg selepas Saving Pvt Ryan 7 taun lepas.and he still havent lost his touch.terutamanya dlm aspek 'visual'.tabik spring aku kat janusz kaminski utk sinematografinya.kesimpulannya filem ni bawa mesej 'violence begets violence'.proses timbal balik ni akan berterusan sampai bila2 selagi tiada pihak yg mengalah.Spielebrg berjaya bawa isu yg 'sensitif' ni dgn adil.filem ni boleh dikatakan 'pro-israel' dan jugak 'pro-palestine'.either way, this film is a taut and absorbing thriller on its own rights.and it evokes more emotion on me compared to 'Brokeback Mountain'.so thumbs up!Spielberg berjaya menebus kembali maruahnya selepas War Of The World yg agak kureng sikit tu.
