Hell and Heaven is in the world and not else where. It is onlt metaphor that people believe heaven and hell is somewhere out of this world.

Even the bible says hell is here. In Numbers 16, the Bible gives the account of people falling into hell alive!

"And THE EARTH OPENED HER MOUTH, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive INTO THE PIT, and the EARTH CLOSED UPON THEM:" Numbers 16:32-33

It is there. And we know it.

Revelation 14:10 says, " . . . and he shall be tormented with fire and BRIMSTONE . . ." And Job 18 describes the " . . . PLACE of him that knoweth not God" (vs 21), in verse 15 as, " . . . BRIMSTONE shall be scattered upon his habitation." Do you know what brimstone is? It's sulfur. And do you know where sulfur or brimstone is found? INSIDE THIS EARTH! According to the book Volcanoes by Pierre Kohler (p. 43), when Mt. St Helens erupted in 1980

well, barney50, perhaps. It may well be possible, but point is, the Bible doesn't say for sure. The Bible doesn't really say where Heaven and Hell will be. All the Bible tells us is there will be a Heaven, and a Hell at the end of the day, and God describes to us what Heaven and Hell will be like (though we have to say, what God described to us, is actually beyond our imagination.)

The Bible does not say whether it will be on earth, or somewhere in the outer space, or in some spiritual (non-physical) place. Indeed, if you consider the vastness of God's universe - it can be ANYWHERE. All Revelation tells us is that, in Hell, there will be fire and brimstone. Well.. perhaps the core of the earth is a likely place for hell.. but then again, is it the only place in God's entire creation where brimstone can be found? Since God's universe is so vast - i think it is possible that brimstone can be found in other places too. (though personally, it is in my opinon that Heaven and Hell will be somewhere in the spritual realm (ie, non-physical place.. as God is Spirit, and all the angels, and the Devil, and the demons are spiritual beings, and even ourselves will be in spirit when we go and meet our God.

However, let's not strike up an argument on this. i'm pretty open to the possibility of what you mentioned.. but only as a possibility, as the Bible does not confirm this fact. But i feel that, this is not altogether that important. What is important is that we know there is a Heaven and a Hell.. how Heaven and Hell will be like... and what we need to do NOW to get to Heaven. Where Heaven and Hell actually is.. it's not important.. i mean, after all, it's not like we need to find our way there physically, isnt it?

Cheers!

p/s: brothers and sisters, my above post, is just what i discovered so far, from the Word of God.  i'd like to know what you guys believe too, so if you have any further relevant discoveries on this topic from the Word of God.. please feel free to share.. so that we may learn from each other about this matter. We may or may not agree rightaway, but it will help open our hearts and minds, and encourage us to search the Scriptures more, that we may all learn and grow in His Holy Word.

Yeh! He talks all goodnes about Christianity and the Church but failed to see the abuse by Church pastors and the Christian movement. Has he forgotten to read history of Christian  atrocities committed against the indegenious people of South America and the Christian immigrants from Europe who stole the land from the American natives and called them savages? So much for his praise for the Church and Christianity........

Go away lah, Barney50.. that抯 not what Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life is about...

I have the book actually, but i'm still halfway though the book.  Mainly, the book addresses the question: why on earth am I here for? It deals with stuff like, God抯 purpose for your life, and understanding it from God抯 perspective.  Things like

[size=-1]Purpose Driven Life - Rick Warren (40 days spiritual Journey)

-you allow your past to control your future

-God purpose is not limited by your past- He turned a murderer name Moses into a leader and a coward named Gideon into a courageous hero
  • Driven by resentment and anger
-hold on to hurts and never get over them
-resentment always hurt you in more that it does the person your resent
-you are only hurting yourself with your bitterness. Learn from it and let it go
  • Driven by Fear
-fears may be result of a traumatic experience, unrealistic expectation, growing up in a high control home or genetic predisposition
-fear?riven people often miss great opportunities
-you must move against it with the weapon of faith and love
  • Driven by Materialism
-your desires to acquire becomes the whole goal your life.
-having more will not make you more happy, more important, more secure. Wealth can be lost instantly
    -possession only provide temporary happiness
-God says the most valuable things in your life are not things
-real security can only be found in your relationship with God
  • Driven by the need of Approval
-you allow the expectation of parents or spouses or children or teachers to control your life
-one key to failure is try to please everyone

[size=-1]Purpose Driven Life - Rick Warren (40 days spiritual Journey)

Day 5 - Seeing Life from God's View

-the way you see your life sharpen your life
    -the Bible offers three metaphors that teach us God's view of life;
-life is a test and trust, the more God's give you, the more responsible he expect you to be
  • Life is a Test
-God continually tests people's character, faith, obedience, love, integrity, and loyalty
-character is both developed and revealed by test, and all of life is test
-you will be tested by major changes, delayed promises, impossible problems, unanswered prayer, underserved criticism and even senseless tragedies.
-a very important test is how you act when you cant feel God's presence in your life
-every time you past a test, God notices and makes plan to reward you in eternity
  • Life is a Trust
-our time on earth and out energy, intelligence, opportunities, relationship, and resources are all gifts from God that entrusted to our care & management
-everything we enjoyed is to be treated as a trust that God has place in our hands
-because God owns it, you must take the best care of it
-life is a trust from God and money is both test and trust from God
-God promises 3 awards in eternity, if you treat everything as a trust
    1. God's Affirmation "Goood job!, well done"
    2. receive a Promotion "i will put you in charge of many things"
    3. honored with a Celebration "come & share your Master's happiness"

[size=-1]Purpose Driven Life - Rick Warren (40 days spiritual Journey)

Day 6 - Life Is a Temporary Assignment

    -never forget 2 truths;
I - compared to eternity, life is extremely brief
II -  earth is only a temporary residence so dont get too attached
-earth is not your permanent home or final destination
    - your identity is in eternity, and your homeland is heaven
-God is very blunt about the danger of living for the here and now and adopting the values, priorities and lifestyle of the world around us
-when we flirt with the temptation of this world, God calls it spiritual adultery
-we are Christ - ambassadors on earth
-the fact that earth is not our ultimate home explains why, as followers of Jesus, we experience difficulty, sorrow, and rejection in this world
-we're not completely happy here because we're not supposed to be
-you will never completely satisfied on earth, because you made for more
-in God's eyes the greatest heroes of faith is those who treat this life as a temporary assignment and serve faithfully, expecting the promised reward in eternity
-when life gets tough, when you're overwhelmed with doubt, Or when you wonder if living for Christ is worth the effort, remember that you are not home yet.
-at death you wont leave home - you'll go home

Purpose Driven Life - Rick Warren (40 days spiritual Journey)

Day 7 - The Reason for Everything

    - Everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power, and everything is for His glory.
    - It's all for Him.
    - Living for God's glory is the greatest achievement we can accomplish with our lives
    - Without God's glory, there would be nothing.
    - How can I bring Glory to God?
      a) We bring God glory by worshiping him
      b) We bring God glory by loving other believers
      c) We bring God glory by becoming like Christ
      d) We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts
      e) We bring God glory by telling others about him
