Masalah di sini ialah yang Deputy Technical Manager juga punya leadership,project leader of various projects for the department..In fact, he is the first officer kat sini yang buat Msc in Chemical Modification using EFB and now he is the project leader of a big project which got grant more than RM 100k. Sebelum dia masuk department kitaorang, dia punya banyak experience juga...dia kerja di kilang papan serpai as technical manager as well as QMR and he penetrated this department after he is doing Msc. In fact, during meeting he always become of the favorites of the Programme Director..as he is the only officer conducted a big project about Kenaf...and I am the 2nd one...but with different type of treatment.

Yang degree holder tu..of course la dia juga ada projek...BUT, dia tidak pernah buat big project pun..and dalam meeting slalu gak kena tibai dengan Programme Director sebab tak nak upgrade qualification...

hmmm... siapa yg promote mamat ni jadik Mgr? hmmm wat keje berkaitan research rupenye rupanya.. tak ape la en eastrun. maybe ada le bendanya yang mamat degree ni lebih daripada his deputy. Awak buat aje lah kerja awak, and deputy tu pun buat aje kerja dia, sampai masanya awak semua akan mendapat habuan masing2.. as for the current tech mgr, let him do his job and prove is value... kalau tak brjaya and u all have the right to say... korang tak suka mgr korang sekarang ke?

fibre tech? hmm... bidang yg begitu dekat dengan ku suatu ketika dulu... way back in 90s.. dah commercial dah pun.

(mungkin kah saya kenal mgr korang ittew?)

ko dah lama ker keje kat situ? Kalau baru jer keje kat situ, selamat datang ke dunia politik kerjaya. Kalu kita kat tpt keje baru, mungkin kita tak rasa sgt bahang politik kerjaya nih. Kita hanya akan rasa bahangnya bila diri sendiri dah terkena.

Since tuan umah pun tak cakap ketua unit tuh tak bagus. So, my assumption dua2 tuh sama2 bagus dlm keje. Pada mata KP, seniority dapat markah lebih banyak berbanding master. Maka, rezeki kat orang yg lebih seniorlah dapat jadi ketua unit. Memang msc susah, tapi mungkin jugak ketua unit tuh ada jasa tertentu kat organisasi tu. Maklumlah orang lama.

Sian kat msc holder tuh. Kalu kita jadi kat tempat dia, camner nak buat erk?

Yup, we are in a research institute...you sound like one of the officers here....hehehe. Entahlah...actually there is one officer yang lebih qualified, but he had gone to UK for his phD. Maybe when he is back, he will take over the position...the officer yang buat phD itu juga pernah mengetuai banyak R&D projects. Maybe pada pandangan mata I, the Deputy Technical Manager is very good, got a very acceptable leadership quality and a very nice person, but not in the eyes of the Head of the Programme.

The degree officer was promoted by the Head of the Division, not the Director of the Programme

EFB...yes Empty Fruit Bunch...was very popular back in 2003 ~ 2004,then Kenaf came...I am so thankful to God as He set me to be one of the researchers for the new crop......I am using the project for my Msc too

No, I'm not one of your officer or what not.. definitly no.. I was once one of the so called pioneer group in this area but I have had changed my career path after a while, but of course bila org berckp abt it i can still faham what it is all about. And maybe ramai `otai-otai' fiber ni yang masih i ingat. But thats abt it..

Back to ur permasalahan, I think it is ot a big deal as long as korang tak kea tindas dengan dia, or dia menyalahgunakan kuasa or jadi tunggul kayu buruk, @ whatever yang tak diperlukan. Of course rasa tak puas hati tu akan wujud, thats normal kat mana.

and to answer one of the forumer's question, If I were the MS holder guy, I will give my full support to my current Mgr, and at the same time work my way up and compete secara sihat.. aduh2 pun tak kemana. If u r really good, lambat laun org akan nampak dan usaha anda pasti x sia2.. dont worry!

aku rasa sebab ade pengalaman or seniority....
ade gak kwn aku gomen ade msc tp dia jd junior batch..cuma gaji dia lebih sikit jela dr org yg ade degree....
lain la kalo private mmg tiap2 tahun tgk pada performance bagus ke tak..
performance bagus tu dpt bonus lebih....
