Negri Sembilan's Tunku Abdullah passes away
Negri Sembilan prince Tunku Abdullah, the third son son of the first Yang di Pertuan Agong Tunku Abdul Rahman, passed away Tuesday night after his arrival from London.
The 83-year-old Melewar Corporation chairman, suffered a heart attack at KLIA and was rushed to Pusrawi, where he was pronounced dead at 9.25pm.
Tunku Abdullah is the younger brother of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Jaafar. |

Abdullah Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman, DKYR, PSM, PPT served as Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Post & Telecoms with the Government from 1952 to 1962. Y.A.M. Tunku Tan Sri Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman actively served in the civil service for more than ten years before being involved in politics. He resigned from the Malaysian Civil Service on August 12, 1963. He has been Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Melewar Industrial Group Berhad ... (Formerly Maruichi Malaysia Steel Tube Bhd) since October 11, 2002. He serves as Non-Independent and Non-Executive Chairman of MAA Holdings Bhd. He serves as the Chairman of several public listed companies on the KLSE which include UCP Resources Berhad. He served as Chairman of Datuk Keramat Holdings Berhad until May 9, 2005, Georgetown Holdings Bhd until May 6, 2005 and Lafarge Malayan Cement Bhd from July 1979 to May 27, 2003. He has been Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of Melewar Industrial Group Berhad since October 7, 2002. He has been Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of MAA Holdings Bhd. since June 8, 1999. He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Datuk Keramat Holdings Berhad (DKH) since September 26, 2000 and Lafarge Malayan Cement Bhd. from April 1965 to May 27, 2003.
